Just got in from walking the dogs and the other half has made me a lovely bacon sandwich so eating that while typing this. Another beautiful day, still very cold (actually freezing is a better word) but dry and wonderfully bright. Clouds I saw this morning had a pink not silver lining and if I've managed to capture it just look at the photo! Not easy trying to walk two dogs and take photos as well.
So as you can gather day 3 has got off to a good start which gives me hope that today will be another good day - just hoping that when (or if) I have a bad day, it doesn't knock me off my feet.
Actually managed to finish the local paper crossword yesterday - helps pass the time at dinnertime at work as I don't go out at the moment just in case I feel tempted. One step at a time and perhaps in a week or so I will be able to just go for a walk without thinking 'smoky' thoughts.
Keeping busy at home with knitting, blogging and french knitting. So no, I wasn't joking when I asked for suggestions on what to use 60 foot of french knitting on! Must admit, long, long time since I did this type of knitting so will have to practice but it certainly keeps the hands and fingers occupied.
Have a good day everyone, saying NO THANK YOU is a positive.
Just wanted to know if you had received the reply I sent last night but have a distinct feeling that I got it wrong again and you haven't! Apologies if not received and I can't remember what I put but I know I thanked you for the 'bag' and will have a go at doing it as it seems reasonably straightforward. As you have gathered, not that good with computers (don't have them at work - honest) so will have to try again if last nights message is somewhere out there but not with you!
Sorry but I do appreciate your replies and thank you.
Had to send this to jillygirl as well because I just don't know if the reply I sent last night to your post actually got to you. Knowing me, I probably got it wrong again but don't have much experience with computers so get it wrong more than I get it right. Really sorry if you didn't receive and although I can't remember the majority of what I wrote (slept since I did it!) I do recall that I mentioned looking at the second comment from sue52 and clicking on the link. This will either confirm that you didn't know what French Knitting is or that you did know but had forgotten.
Once again, my apologies that my computer skills are very basic and I lack the necessary know-how but I do appreciate your replies and thank you for them.
If you do get a bad day, remember that this happens to those who don't smoke too. If it's because of those sneaky cravings, then recognise that having them is a positive sign that your body is recovering from smoking for however many years, regardless of how much, many or little has been smoked It's just about finding ways to let the moments pass
The way we've been experiencing all this freaky weather all over the world, there may be a giraffe or two that could do with one of your long scarves
It is so nice to have support from so many people and I must be very lucky as so far, I don't seem to have had a bad day and I just hope that by saying this I aren't jinxing myself.
Wish I was more computer literate as well so may well spend some of what I save on a computer course so that I can understand more about them and not panic like I have in the last half hour as I am sure I replied to both jillygirl and sue52's comments but can't find my answers now!?!
Oh well, never too old to learn just takes longer.
Thank you again - I do appreciate your help and support.
Not that good with a camera but every so often something comes out just right and this was one of those times.
You have a very special gift being able to use words to describe events and/or happenings that enable the reader to picture what you describe.
Spreading happiness is also a gift and long may you continue to bring happiness not just to me but to others as well..
Hello John
Thank you so much for sharing your words with me. There is nothing else I can say that will put everything right by bringing back your loved one and the only comfort I can give you is that your time together was so special and you have such fantastic memories that no one and nothing can takeaway from you. Whilst remembering the good times we are also bound to think of the said times but having lost someone I was extremely close to what I can say is that love never, ever dies and that helps me to cope without them but it is difficult and hard but to honour their memory we have to carry on. Thank you again for sharing and if you ever need to 'talk' I would be honoured to listen.
