Well I was trying to post last night and in the middle of writing a long one, I hit the wrong button and wiped it so I gave up!
It was nice to see Kazz around again yesterday - we did miss you and I hope you're feeling better now.
Same for Sue, guessed you must have had a bad head - or visitors.
John, glad you're still doing stuff in your kitchen - which room will you start on next?
Pete, obviously on days again this week. Don't you weaken now.
Sarah, sounds like you're getting on the same wave-length as hubby now. It's a great feeling to be mortgage-free.
All you others I can't see or may have forgotten ( ) sorry and hope you're all having a good day - with not too much snow!
Hi Everyone,
I know that feeling Andi, I've done it myself, It's so annoying, especially when you've typed a lot, my Raynauds kicked in last night and my fingers went numb so I couldn't type, or do anything, at least that meant someone else had to do the dishes, always a plus :D. Hope your having a great day, whatever your up to
That sounds like tasty bread John enjoy your walk into town
Hey all, is it bed time yet?? Lol
Had a great day today, no cigs, 3 weeks today and feeling good but tired.. might be different again when Stew off for 2 days at end of week though, 4 days of having him home might just put me on the ciggys again
Andi Im all for saving money/paying off mortgage but the main arguments is that I spend toomuch money which he doesnt realise if I bought all branded stuff our outgoings would be LOTS more, I cant cut back any more than I am already, he can dont think there is enough space to say what he could cut back on lol but whats good for the gander doesnt happen in this house!
So its leftover pizza for tea, thankfully, had a busy morning doing housework, then work and when home I got back into the attic and sorted out more sstuff for the boot sale, our study is full of stuff to sell Im really hoping that I get a lot of it sold so I dont have to take it all home again.
There is a whole pile of stuff for Stewart to sort out, books etc too and computery stuff that I have no idea about!
Thats the kids home now, they got 3 days extra off school this week, long lie for me this week
Hi Sarah,
Well done on getting to 3 weeks, way to go I know you won't let your hubby get you smoking again, you wouldn't want to undo all that good work you've done
Hope you get all your stuff sold, I did that with a lot of stuff when i started decorating, it was great, some money for me and more room in the house, more room that i thought i had
Enjoy your lie ins, there precious when your kids are young
Afternoon peeplies!
Time for a coffee and a 10 minute sit down before I pop to the dentist. Tis ongoing treatment...I shall be ironing for an hour after tea. My daughter is seeing some people from Comic Relief tomorrow...so she needs some bits ironing, may as well do the basket whilst I'm at it. We have some peeps round later discussing the finals in a couple of weeks, it's to do with her volunteer work. She's the regional winner!
I shall deffo be in bed by 10pm tonight! Got a busy day tomorrow work wise, but a free evening, yay! Jim jam time and watch some telly!
Well done on reaching 3 weeks Sarah! That's brilliant!
Hope you're feeling brighter today Sue!
Hope everyone is having a great day!
xx
I stopped for 6 weeks a few years ago so still got 3 weeks to go before I feel that Ive achieved something for myself. Im a lot more hopefulmthis time though, feeling quite enpowered about the stopping and I didnt have this site the last time either
Very well done to your daughter chickles, what age is she?
I bet your bootmsales are proper boot sales though Sue!! The boot sales here are actually table top sales but everyone calls them boot sales!
Im thinking to put a load of stuff on the comunity merkitplace on the facebook site too, might get some of the better bigger items sold thst way
She's 18 in April...she really is a lovely girl, a 'non-stereotypical' teenager, bless her. I love her to bits!
Well I'd best be off...I need food! Can't wait for tea, which will be after the dentist...
laters all!
Hey Chick, I always feel worn out when I read what you've been up to!
Sarah, 3 weeks is just great, you know you won't undo all the good work you've done already. When you've got them all home later in the week why don't you pack up a picnic and go and have a blast along the beach - maybe even a bit of kite-flying!
John, you're very brave making bread - just be careful though cos anyone I know that made their own bread always complained after about all the weight they'd put on.
Sue, glad your Raynauds has b*****ed off again today.
I'm off to make some meatballs now - I could have bought them but this way you know what's gone in to them.
Hi Andi, good idea about the meatballs, you just never know what your eating nowadays, I'm gonna have fish with some veg. I;m fed up eating chicken, I'll turn into one soon
That's a good idea Sarah, and as John says, check prices for your stuff beforehand,if possible, you don't want to lose out on money
You'll stop for ever this time Sarah, you empowered this time. and we'll all help you, so onwards and upwards
You must be soooo proud of your daughter Chickles what a wonderful young lady she is
I hope things go okay at the dentist, better you than me though
Ah no all teenagers are bad eh chickles! I was a mother and had a mortgage when I was a teenager!
Homemade bread is fantastic Jihn, the only downfall with it is that its better the day you make it, wish we had more of it to be honest.... make my own pizza bases and have a breadmaker so should get into thst again
Haha andi, i do like your idea of a picnic at the beach.... I doubt if we go to the beach we might just get blown/washed away, Orkney has had the biggest waves in the UK so far this week and it doesnt look like it is improving any at all with the 80mph winds!! Lol
The things Im selling isnt worth putting on ebay but too good to take to a boot sale where Id only get a few £s.
There is a load of bruder toys more or less brand new that Id no way take to boot sale, nobody would want to pay £30 at one
Meat balls turned out ok - got enough for tomorrow and 4 burgers for the freezer. I'll eat the same again tomorrow - I cooked courgette, pepper & leek then mixed it with taglietelle and low fat creme fraiche and put the meat balls with it.
Like you Sue, am getting a bit fed up with chicken and I do need a bit of red meat now and then. - Hope there was no horse mixed in with it!
John I could smell that bread earlier - bet it's all in your tum now, just like the cakes!
Where is everybody tonight, do you all know something i don't
I hope you bread turned out okay John
Hope everybody is having a good night
I'm here Sue.
I wasn't planning to be. Originally I'd planned to go to circuits tonight but I ran this morning and walked round the Head this afternoon - battling against the wind - and when I got home I decided I was too knackered and that maybe I'd done enough exercise for one day!
Hi Andi, your tea sounds delicious :), might do meatballs next week, have not had them for ages
If you've had the same windy weather as me then that's your resistance training done not surprised your knackered, it would put me in bed for a week
I saw a bit of the news earlier and they were showing all the snow in Yorkshire and around Sheffield. It made me think of Pete so I hope he managed to get to and from work with no mishaps.
I missed the news today, I hope so too, was it really bad there?
They were showing crashed cars, blocked motorways and cars sliding around. They also showed snow in Scotland - do you not have any? We even had a couple of snow showers today! Brrrrr
Mmmmmm ............ I'll have two please!
That sound bad, I might not get in till late tonight then, sounds like he'll have to drive slowly.
We got a little snow yesterday then the rain came and washed it all away, it's really cold though, thank goodness for hot water bottles
I meant to say *he*
I didn't think of that, maybe I should have left it the way it was, that would have caused mischief
I guess that Holby City is more important at the moment.
It must be, I've never watched it, I don't watch soaps either, which has people looking at me like i'm an alien
I used to watch all the soaps but gave them up a few years ago when they really started getting stupid story lines and ridiculous. I used to watch Casualty too until they turned that into a soap but I never bothered starting Holby when that came on.
Just got home, mighty windy out there tonight and Im glad I aint going on any boat tomorrow, dont think I'll even go out in the car tomorrow
If any of you have facebook have a look at radio orkney page coz there are some impressive photos of the seas here
I wouldn't go out in that either Sarah, it sounds dangerous and way to cold
Hi Pete, I'm much better thank you I'm glad your home safe and sound, Andi was saying the news was showing really really bad snow your way
Sarah, get out in that wind gal, it will do you good and blow some cobwebs off you
Hiya Peetie Weetie, did you want something?
It will blow her to the nearest Island as well
Yay, visitors have gone...things are all sorted now for transport, hotel, paperwork etc...
It's been a very long day! Up at 6am tomorrow, hope that it's not snowing!
Dentist is still a work in progress, am back next Wednesday.
I am deffo having a lie in this Sunday! I'll prob wake up at 6am, as per, but I'll read.
Stay warm all and don't go out unless you have to!
My duvet and hot water bottle are beckoning me...am proper tired!
Nighty night, sweet dreams to all!
xx
JC,
Hmmmm I wouldnt mind having a go at baking bread myself perhaps then i would be able to bake some cakes tooooo

I'm off to bed now, I'm sitting here sleeping
nite nite all, sweet dreams, luv yas xxxxxxxxxxxxx
My friend from America phoned - on for 45 minutes I don't speak, just grunt occassionally at appropriate points. I saw her in Austria but she had to leave early cos she broke her ankle skiing. She didn't get plastered, they gave her a strap-on boot to wear so she's now got to get checked out stateside.
They don't put plaster on here now either. My sister had a strap on boot when she broker her foot, was useless.
Nite nite Sue, hope you have a good night. I can hear the wind's got up a bit down here in the last half hour - hope it doesn't keep you awake. Sweet dreams. xxx
Well I think I will head to bed now and start reading my book.
My stomach muscles are sore now after laughing so hard at Ruth earlier on....... we were ar my parents house, dad put on Laurel and Hardy and after about 5 minutes Ruth pipped up 'did they no have coloured clothes in that days'
Oh jesus, honestly I could hardly breathe for laughing so hard, mum came in and asked what we were all laughing at and no-body could tell her for laughing, my brother tried to tell her but couldnt get it out
Poor girl is never going to live it down, she had been moaning earlier that she wasnt funny (she is rubbish at telling jokes) and nobody laughed at her now shes wishing Id stop annoying her about the black and white programme lol
Nite nite Sarah, glad you're off to bed on a high note tonight. Sleep well and sweet dreams.
I'm away to my bed too so nite nite Pete and all the rest of you. Sleep well. xxxxx
good night John and i hope its all goooooood news
