Today is day 3 for me and although I feel a bit panicky at times I am doing ok . The evenings seem to be the hardest. Reading your experiences and tips is helping me to keep going. It takes away the sense of isolation to know others are doing it too!

Hi Liz and welcome. Come and join in the daft chat in the evenings, that will take away your sense of isolation. When I first quit I was very jittery and found that I had to sit on my hands a lot - especially in the evenings if watching tv. (That was after getting my fill of nuts, crisps, chocolate etc! :D :D ) We'll also help you with the ups and downs you'll get along the way.

Good luck, Andi :)

Hi Liz

Great to see you here and well done on getting to day 3. I felt panicky as well and that was just thinking about quitting. It's understandable when you are giving up something that has become and part of your life and a part of you. You feel that you aren't going to be able to cope with what life throws at you without your cigarettes, well that is how I felt but you will cope and before long you will be doing so without thinking about needing a cigarette. It's actually good to be able to be free of the need to smoke and I know a lot of people have said that.

If you need someone to chat to or need advice we are always here for you, so please let us know how you are doing.

You are doing really well Liz so you keep going and be strong because you can do it :)

Kaz xx :)

Thank you so much for your support. I got some NRT from a fag ends drop in and its really helping. I am doing ok. I feel less panicky today and who would have thought a biro without ink could be such a good cigarette replacement! Liz x
