Hello all and happy Sunday π So, today is my quit day; or rather the 1st day of adding the extra years of my life back that smoking has helped to take away. I've spent some time this morning doing my reasons to quit list which I hope will help on these first few weeks when it gets tough. The main thing that has struck me is they are all just obvious and common sense reasons! Doh!
Have a lovely day all xx ππ»π

Hi there Sarah, wishing you good luck on your first day. Stay strong and keep looking at that list of reasons to quit. If you look in the mirror , thats the reason to quit.
Stay close to this site and we will help you through your quit, no matter how long it takes.
I have now changed your badge so now your officially a non smoker. xxx
Great idea Sarah. Keep it to hand, and read it at every craving. Today you are one day closer to being free! You CAN do this, even if you think you cant.
Welcome to the group Sarah, congratulations on your first day being smoke free.....feels good being a Non smoker doesn't it...... and we are all here to see you through this journey, so good luck. πΈπΈ
Hi Sarah well done so far its not an easy task but I have found that the support here really does help , from your post yesterday it sounded like you were dreading today coming ,my quit day was wednesday just gone and I was dreading it but as it happens it wasnt any where near as bad as I though it was going to I hope this is how you have found today for yourself .....best of luck and you CAN do this onward and upward
Thank you everyone β€οΈ day 1 almost done and I am sooooo happy I haven't smoked - you are right Cales, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be today. It also helps that it is absolutely chucking it down in my part of lovely Yorkshire π¦π¦ and I'm not grabbing my coat and brolly to go out for a cig π€.
I am really loving reading all the success stories and support form everyone on here. I'm hoping I can also give words of encouragement to others on their journey to beating those little coffin nails! π€ xx
It's brilliant isn't it ...... even on hard days as soon as I come here I feel proud that I'm smoke free 5 days for me now π it's not easy but when I come in here and say I'm finding it hard to be told it's normal is so reassuring and boosts my confidence π...... I too relish staying in when son or hubby goes out to smoke π and question why I ever really wanted to go out side anyway lol
