Hi Guys, I’m 20, been smoking since I was 13 and really regret the decision now but I am struggling to get myself to stop.
I’ve tried to before and it’s worked for a few days but since a change of job the people I’m now working with stop working to nip for a cig. However my current missus is against it to the point it’s driving us apart.
I NEED to stop. And I NEED the help!! I don’t want to start ‘Vaping’ and I’ve tried the gums and sprays.
Thank you for taking the time to read this! And I hope you can help 💪
Thank you

Hello & Welcome
I never ever thought I would stop smoking and to be honest I did not want to but I was sort of pushed into it when I got pneumonia in Feb , I had never been so ill and never want to be again
I know the fags did not cause the pneumonia but I know if I had carried on smoking after I would have been in a mess so I did start vaping after trying the other things that are out there to help
I eventually want to stop vaping and I know I will but I believe what ever method you use as long as you don't smoke it has to be a bonus
I hope you find what will suite you and if I can do this I know anyone can and you can and will do to
Take Care x

Hi lulu,it's lovely to hear from you! Just look how far you've come.
I hope you have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!🎅
Don't worry about the vaping when it's time you'll just taper it off.🚭
I am not worrying so much about the vaping , I am still struggling with my anxiety which has got worse so I tell myself that vaping is the last worry , I need to get myself sorted and at least I am not smoking
I am hoping to get some help next year so who knows the vape might go then but if not it will when the time is right
Wishing you a very Happy Christmas and I hope 2020 is good to you as like all the others you so deserve it x
I personally found vaping helpful, particularly when out with people who smoke cigarettes. I didn't smoke every day which meant that NRT was generally too strong.
UK medical research suggests that although not risk free that the impact is at least 95% safer than combustible cigarettes.
Another added bonus is that you can control the nicotine level, gradually going from cig strength to zero. That doesn't deal with the physical behavious but it does give you a chance to deal with the addiction in stages.
Best of luck wherever you end up and season's greetings.
It does frighten me I have to admit what they say about vaping but I tried everything else and could not get on with them other than vaping but sometimes I still if I am honest feel like I am cheating because I vape
I suffer with crippling Mental Health issues though and if I did not vape I know for a fact I would pick up cigarettes again so I have to tell myself this has to be better and yes when I am ready as I have a lot of issues first to sort out I can wean of the vape
A lot of the media stories on vaping are sensationalist and are geared towards stopping kids from vaping rather than looking at the harm reduction benefits to existing smokers. The actual science is on your side.
I agree - if you know you'd light up otherwise, then stick with it.
Best wishes for dealing with your mental health issues and keep strong on the quit. Smoking again could add a further stress that won't help in the longer term.
Hi Guys, sorry for not replying over the last few days. I live and work a very busy schedule. Working around 12-16 hours per day. On the wind down for a short Christmas break so figured I’d come back and say thank you 👍
After hearing some positive stuff about vaping I am now considering it.
Can you give me feedback between Cig-a-likes and a more commonly found ecig please???
