Hi Sarah

Take heart ❤️ these things happen to the best of us. It may help you to use some nrt. There are lots to choose from. Have a browse through our pinned posts, lots of ideas and advice there.

Good luck, you can do this 👍👍

I'm basically repeating what Karen said. We've all doneit, so arm yourself with some nrt knowledge, pick what's best for you, if that's what you decide and go for it. Whatever you do choose they'll be lots of advice from they guys here too.

Don't feel bad, pick yourself up and move forward. We're addicts and it's no easy road to quitting for most of us. We've got your back if you need us😊😘

Hi there Sarahlou, First of all dont feel so bad about your slip up., Many of our members do the same, The main thing is you learn from your mistakes. Think about why you smoked again and if you could have avoided it. Perhaps if you are struggling the e.cig or patches would help. Have a look on the pinned posts there is a section on nicotine replacement products, also Karen has explained vaping. Try to change your routine, and drink plenty of water. The good news is Your badge doesnt change. We dont penalise you on your first slip up (explained in the pinned posts).

So have a good browse, make yourself a plan and just come on here whenever you want to let off steam.

Lots of us take a few goes to quit, but manage to succeed by staying on quit support and being determined.

Hi Sarahlou, as everyone has said don't beat yourself up, try see where you went wrong and set yourself a quit day. Not many people can do it going cold turkey so have a look into nrt and see what suits you best. I am finding the gum good at the moment.

Good luck and we are all here for you x

Sarah Lou, that took guts to admit you fell off the wagon and if you can be that truthful with us lot, you can be that truthful with yourself! As Jilly says, question what it was that made you pick up that crucial fag? Use this lapse to inform you rather than to beat yourself up. If it was stress, learn how to handle stress differently. Mindfulness training has its place as does yoga, meditation etc. If it was alcohol induced, consider staying clear of it for a while. If it was mates asking you to collude with their own smoking addiction then maybe put them on the back burner until you're strong enough to tell em to do one!! Do your life differently Sarah Lou...giving something up and expecting life to be brilliant isn't gonna work. Replace it with different positive stuff and your life can become awesome. Stay strong and well, much love Poll x

Well done on deciding to get back on the wagon on Monday. I slipped recently and got back on in about 10 days, it really helps if you re-quit as soon as you slip-up. It feels like the slip-up never happened.
