Hi Lillytetteh, Well done for your decision to quit👏

Welcome to Quit Support.💙

It’s never easy to quit but it’s easier with a little support.💪

I suggest you set a date for beginning your quit, not too far ahead, 1 week or 10 days. During this time read up on ways of quitting. Are you going to use NRT (nicotine replacement therapy)? Or are you going to ask your doctor for a prescription drug to dull the nicotine receptors or are you going to try cold turkey. We are all different with different life styles etc. There is a method which is right for you.

Write down a list of your reasons for wanting to quit. Put it somewhere you often go. Mine is still on the fridge,I've been quit for 15 months.

Please read the pinned posts,📌 there is lots of information there. You will find the posts to the right or at the bottom of your screen depending which device you are using.

May I suggest you drink plenty of water💧💦 to flush out the toxins and keep yourself hydrated.

If you feel you need any more help please don’t hesitate to ask. There is always someone here.

Let us know when you begin your quit,so that we can assign you a winners' badge and add your name to the wall of winners.

May I remind you not to post any personal information.

Good luck with your quit.🍀🚭xx

Hello Lillytetteh, well done on your decision to quit.

It is not easy but there is lots of support out there and this site is really wonderful. I used Champix for a while but actually found that the patches worked better for me Use whatever you need to to help you on the road to being smoke free. I too tried many times to stop smoking and the thing that convinced me was a health scare whilst I was on holiday........don't get to that stage, it is too frightening :(

It is tough but if you are determined you can do it:)

I am 20 days smoke free now and can already feel the benefits. I read all the success stories on this site and tell myself that I too can be a success at this.

Good luck to you.

Sharron
