Hey guys I haven't done a weekly post last week, well lost another 1lb of not smoking which is good I think I'm on my third week but honestly I'm not counting as taking each day as they come, well my dilemma is I recently found out that my mum has cancer, and I'm completely stressed down and don't know what to do with myself I haven't touched a fag but I'm craving more for one now then Anything because I can't detract myself because of what I'm going through emotionally, it's harder that my sister who doesn't smoke is smoking because of the stress any help would be appreciated

Hi Leigh, so sorry to hear about your mum. As for going back to smoking , as hard as it seems smoking isnt going to take the problem away and will not help. I dont know if you were using any form of nrt but have you thought about the e.cig to get you over this stressful time. It may be worth having a word with your G.P. who can prescribe something to help you.

Please keep us posted. xx

I'm really sorry to hear about your Mum but please please don't go back to smoking.

You have the hardest part of your quit done and honestly smoking will not help you but probably make you feel worse, if that's possible. In times of stress we think a cig will make us feel better but all it does is make us want another and another and all your hard work will literally disappear up in smoke. As Jilly has said perhaps an ecig will help you.

Thinking of you and sending strength to help you all :) x

Hi Leigh,

So sorry to hear about your mum :( Please dont go back to smoking as it really is not going to change anything and you will end up regretting it. I understand this is a very stressful time for you, but smoking wont make it go away. Like Briar said, talk to your GP to get something to help tide you over this stressful period.

Thoughts are with you and sending lots of huggs your way..stay strong and stay quit xx

Aup Leigh am so sorry to hear about your Mam :( but Leigh, you have to keep strong for her sake :) let her know your still quit, cos I tell you, thats what she wants to hear :) :)

As jillygirl has said, smoking wont take the problem away, it will probably make it worse, cos you will be mad with yourself for doing it :(

Please grit your teeth, punch a cushion, go for a brisk walk and get some of that fresh air into your lungs :)

Sending loads a comforting stay strong huggs to you, your Mam and your family :) :) xx

Hi Leigh. Sorry hear about your mum :( Please do not go back to smoking. It will not help you at all. All the hard work you have be doing will go up in smoke. And I think you do not what that do you? Get your self a e cig to help you when you think you need a fag. Plus see your GP as well. And see if there can help you as well. Keep you chin up hun. :D

Hey Leigh, Im sorry to hear about your mum :(

Smoking will not help but I think you knew that anyway otherwise you wouldn't have come on here, I'm delighted that you did :)

For those of us that have quit and then smoked because of 'stress', we all have huge lumps missing from our ankles where we kicked ourselves afterwards..... it aint the way to go..... have you tried meditation yoga? failing that when I am stressed out I find a long luxurious soak in the bath does the trick.... light a few candles and turn off the lights - I take a cup of coffee in with me :O :P

Sending you and your family hugs and hugs and get well soon vibes to your lovely mum :)

PS: not sure your mum would be too happy about you getting back on them cigs ,,,,,
