Hi Drewski123 , Well done for your decision to quit👏 and of course for your 4️⃣ smoke free days.
Welcome to Quit Support.💙
It’s never easy to quit but it’s easier with a little support.💪
Please read the pinned posts,📌 there is lots of information there. You will find the posts to the right or at the bottom of your screen depending which device you are using.
May I suggest you drink plenty of water💧💦 to flush out the toxins and keep yourself hydrated.

May I remind you not to post any personal information. If in doubt, leave it out!
So for the record,I have your quit date as 11th September. Please let us know if this is incorrect.
Good luck with your quit.🍀🚭xx
Well done and big congrats on being 4 days smoke free. It really is the best thing you could ever do for yourself.
Keep us close, we are here to support and have all been through the same process so know what you are going through.
Our mantra is NOPE....Not One Puff Ever
Bye for now and good luck on your journey to freedom.
Hi Drewski and welcome to Quit Support
Sounds like a great idea to go away on holiday and 4 days smoke free is brilliant, well done👏🏼
Good luck and we look forward to supporting you on your journey to freedom🚭✅
Enjoy your smoke free holiday😀xx
Thanks for all the support. This will be my third attempt. Able to stop 🛑 for 12 months then hit relapse. 9 months then relapse. This time no turning back. I will just have to avoid “temptation” friends. That is the problem.
So far so good any way.
Hi Drewski,it's such a pity when we relapse after a long time being smoke free. I relapsed after 4 years................
We have to consider smoking as an addiction to nicotine. When we've managed to quit even one puff can set us back.
I've been quit for 14 months this time,I still have my list of reasons for quitting stuck on the fridge. I'm still careful when I'm in places where I used to enjoy a smoke. Like sitting outside a bar having a drink.
Try to turn your routines around a little.
As Corrina suggests remember our mantra N.O.P.E. I have that as the screen saver on my phone. Every little thing helps.🚭💪
Hello Tubby,
Four years is a very long time. Is it also to with drinks 🍹 or do we have to aim for TOTAL abstinence.
Over the Easter last year I went along with the pre Easter fast and was teetotal for one ☝🏽 month. My wife said it was the happiest she had been since we got married.
Turning your routine around sounds fine but what exactly do you mean. Avoiding any level of temptation.
It is hard and we need one another’s strength and support.
I am happy with this forum and think 🤔 constant interactions help.
All the best
Hi Drewski, smoking is an addiction to nicotine but it also becomes a habit.
I always lit up in the kitchen, immediately after breakfast. Now I don't sit in the kitchen after breakfast, I go and brush my 2 cats and my dog.
I've never smoked in the lounge, if I have a glass of wine, I enjoy it the lounge and smoking doesn't occur to me.
They are just very small changes to the usual routine.
Whether or not you stop drinking too is entirely up to you.
It's the same with coffee, if you usually smoke with coffee, try drinking tea or drink your coffee standing up somewhere you've never smoked.
Just try turning your routines around a little. Here's a link which may help.
