Hi everyone! I'm working up to quitting later this week and am gathering all ammo: list of reasons to stop, following this forum again, triggers etc. Is there anything else I can do ?
This will be my third attempt in as many years. I've lost two close family members in recent years and have been very stressed so I know I've been using smoking and drinking too much wine as a coping mechanism.
I've had raised blood pressure this year, and health anxiety, so I'm really looking to quit for good.
On the positive side I've had several tests done which are all ok, and I finished the Couch to 5k programme last month so I am regularly running 5k 3 times a week.
Hoping the exercise could be the trick up my sleeve this time!
Hi Jackie, with every quit you will have learnt something which will help you with this quit, so think about your previous quits and what you learnt.
Also write a pros and cons list of smoking (this could be your list of reasons). Keep busy, keep reading the pinned posts and keep up the running, which will get even better once you stop smoking.
Good luck, bye for now and remember to keep us close for support.
Good for you wanting to quit Jackie! I am very new at this and only have in a few days and those few days were terrible. At least for me they were. But every quit is different I wish you the very best good luck with your quit
I agree with Briar, you can do this, third time lucky....... and we are all here to encourage and support you on your new journey to become SmokeπFree!!
