I'm in desperate need of advise on just how to go about quitting smoking. I hate smoking, I dont enjoy it but I cant stop!! I've tried a vape and that was useless. I dont know where to start. Every day i tell myself tomorrow is the day. I wake up and within an hour I've had a cigarette!! Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

When you've decided how you want to quit, are you going to use NRT (nicotine replacement therapy) use a prescription med or go cold turkey , without any aids.
Whichever way you choose we will support all the way.
If you need anymore help please don't hesitate to ask there's always someone here.

Well done xx will be a decision you won’t regret 😄 I also used to say tomorrow all the time and then didn’t really plan my quit date just thought on a Saturday I would try but went out that evening and couldn’t and went for it on the Sunday morning cold turkey - I personally think having a box with cigs in helped me as didn’t have that awful feeling I didn’t have any - however have been in a cupboard at home since day 2 and I am now over a month x I am sure you will be fine and like tubby54 says there is fantastic support here and someone also to prop you up and encourage and support you along the way - fantastic group 😘
Hi Ellasmummy, Welcome to our lovely community. Do please look at the post Tubby suggested, also have a browse at the pinned posts which are to the right or bottom of this page. One step at a time and keep this site close and you will soon be a non-smoker. XXXX
Hey, I tried vaping and it didn't work for me either. Infact I tried to quit at least 3 times before I manged to quit for good. I read Alan Carr's book " The Easy Way to Stop Smoking" and quit cold turkey soon after. Maybe give it a try Good luck.
