Good morning afternoon or evening to all you beautiful people around the world.

A warm welcome to any new members just starting out on their quit.

We’re half way through the summer which is sometimes a test for the newly quit. No more sitting, puffing on the porch with the neighbours! You can still sit and chat though. It’s just another tricky situation. If you’re worried about it maybe you could try going out a little later and come in a little earlier. Things do get easier. Yesterday I went out for the traditional bank holiday lunch (5 courses) wine and coffee. Not a craving in sight! I certainly couldn’t have done that a year ago.

Hi Tubby and anyone else popping in.

It truly is amazing how quickly you realise you can still get about your normal life without those pesky cigarettes. Some things take a little longer to become the new normal but we do get there in the end.

i just love not having to duck out for a smoke here there and everywhere. Airports where an absolute nightmare for me. i was always the last one going through the point of no return. Now days, i just go through, find a comfy seat and get my kindle out. I just home from a quick trip to New Zealand and being at the airport reminded of the days when i smoked. So glad them days are over.

Hi glolin..........the airport situation sounds familiar🙄. We are way better off without them in so many ways.💪😋😍

Yesterday my app reminded me that I have saved E.2000, I haven't actually got the cash but I've got a brand new, super duper,de-lux, made to my requirements Mattress! That wouldn't have been possible while I was still 'feeding' nic!!🤣🤣🤣XXX

Morning Twin Tubs 🤣,

You are making my mouth water. Five courses plus wine and coffee would have me on the restaurant floor fast asleep.

Yesterday I had lunch in Kingston upon Thames in the John Lewis restaurant overlooking the Thames. I had a lovely Caesar salad and a pot of tea.

Since you know me so well you know that I’m like a kid in a candy store when it comes to Halloween and I noticed that TKMaxx has some gorgeous Halloween paraphernalia. I was very drawn to a proper broomstick covered with silver glitter and with a big black glittery spider clinging to the brush. I thought I’d get it for you so you could put to one side the plain every day broomstick you fly about on and rock on the glittery one. 🧙‍♀️ 🧹

I'm still trying to connect washing machines and sparkly brooms AND halloween.

What ever did you lace your tea with Twinnie Sue!!

5 courses in just over 3 hours. They were all soooo yummy!

panzanella (a sort of bread salad),home cured meats,salame,ham,sausages,just a taste!!

Then there were 2 pasta dishes,ravaioli(filled with ricotta and spinach)Tagliatelle with real mushrooms(not buttons).

Then roast duck,+ roast potatoes.

Followed by a taste of steak with salad

2 desserts

All washed down with a very good local red wine.🙄😋😘XXX
