Hi, I haven't posted for ages but I was reminded to pop back when I received an email, someone was asking about Champix.
I started taking Champix Oct 2017 ( Stoptober) I gave up smoking completely on the 23rd Oct.
Back then - I was on here all the time, looking for support and advice, the help was amazing, I can honestly say it got me through those early days, it was very tough, especially when I finished my course of Champix but I've done it, I know I will never smoke again. Thank you to everyone on here that helped me β€οΈ
I just wanted to say to anyone giving up now, stay strong, deal with all the cravings, it is VERY tough but it CAN be done, it was possible the hardest thing for me, it helped to say to myself; N.O.P.E (not one puff EVER) which I learnt from here, I said it a LOT, I still do sometimes.
My friends said my personality changed, I knew it, I could feel it, I slept a lot, closing out any cravings, I was grieving too, I loved those cigs but I knew I had to get rid or they would kill me βΉοΈ
Anyway, I'm still here, not smoking and I'm getting back to 'normal' π±
I'm so much happier (a bit heavier!) but I'm just so relived to be a non smoker, it's the BEST feeling β€οΈ
Stick with it everyone, it's SO worth it πππͺ
If anyone needs any info on Champix I'm happy to share my experiences.
I have added the pic from my stop smoking app, look at how much I've saved in just 10 months - over Β£3,200 π and I've not smoked over 9,000 cigs π€’
My lung health will take a while to get back to where it should be, I can't wait for that to go green π
Ive added 37 days to my life by giving up those horrible, stinky, expensive things!!
Good luck everyone β€οΈ
