Hi all huggy hips here I was diagnosed copd two years ago but didn't think about packing in smoking then I became really ill and got pneumonia. Scarey wasn't in it. I'm now giving up.. patches I find worked for me and honestly the lung difference is amazing I'm in day 123 after packing in for seven months I started off again . But now I'm determined health is more important than a puff of smoke.

Hi huggy, good to hear you're breathing is improving and you're over 4 months smokefree now, fantastic👏🏼👏🏼
You're doing the very best thing by staying smokefree, well done. Be proud of yourself coz you're doing great💐😊
Well done huggyhips stopping smoking will slow down the progression of COPD . I was diagnosed in 2006. Keep up the good work depending on what stage you are at have you been refered for pulmanory rehab. It is a exercise end education course for people with COPD. Take care xxx
Hi huggyhips...great name by the way. I also smoked for about 2 years after a copd diagnosis and finally quit I also failed at previous attempts and am so glad I've been smoke free for 7 months now. Feeling so much better and have some hope for living longer to see grandchildren. I can say there must be something about the 6-7 months quit time as I have been having incredible urges lately to just go back to the old way of life and smoking.
