Only day 2 of quit and feeling really weepy :) I've done this before, gone 3 months and started again, my head is telling me it's not worth it, that I'll fail again :( Will I ever successfully quit?

Welcome to Quit support,

Sorry your feeling emotional Jooliee,

The first few weeks can play havoc with your emotions, however

it does ease off.

You seem a bit negative about your quit. Is this due to failing before?

Many members relapse with their quits, However most of them succeed in the end.

The trick is to think of how you

can change things so it doesnt happen again.

Have a good look at the pinned posts , which will have useful information for you.

Also may I ask if you are using any form of nicotine replacemant?

I will add your name to our wall of winners and assign you an achievement badge.

:) xx

Hi thanks for your reply 😊 I have failed too many times before, I have tried nicotine replacement but I think it actually makes me naggier! Every fail has usually been down to alcohol and my stupidity that I can have just one!! I am my own worst enemy I need to keep telling myself 'never one puff ever' just hope can crack it this time!! I want to prove to myself and my family that I can do this, think they even think I can't do it! Never joined a support group like this before maybe it's what I've been missing 👍🏻😊

Welcome to the group joolie. I have quit and relapsed multiple times before too. This forum is the best thing that has happened to me. Good luck. Stay strong.

Thanks ... think it's already helping 👍🏻

I Must have quit 30 times in the last 30 years, i am pathetic. This time I am on day 9 and Ok but I have got to 3mths before and kid myself that 1 smoke wont hurt. SO...we are all the same except that many others have quit successfully and i want to be one of those..if you do also then do it. The people on here have given me more support in 9 days than i have ever had. THANK YOU. Good Luck Jooliee

I can't tell you how many people on here have talked about multiple quits, we call them trial runs and do you know what? We learn something from each and every one of those trial runs which puts us in a better, stronger place for when the time is right. So please, please don't see them or yourself as failures, this is more about practise and getting it right for you.
