So today is day three and I think it's my hardest day so far....I thought this was supposed to get easier! I'm not as moody today but am seriously gagging for a fag and feel like i could burst into tears at any second!

Struggling
Oh my Rebexy it can be hard hard hard
Are you using NRT? Even a vape with 0 nicotine can help.
Hang in there, the first few weeks are the hardest.
Try deep breathing, distracting yourself or, my personal favourite, go in a room, shut the door and give the wall what's for !! It really does work 😂
Good luck 🤞

Hi Karen, Yes, using patches and inhalator. Have been on the 21mg patches for about 3 weeks but have been smoking 1 or 2 a day with them and 3 days ago cut those ones out too. I've just had a couple of puffs on the inhaltor and feel much better already! May look at getting a vape just because i feel inhaling and seeing the smoke coming back out may help, see how i get on first and go from there. Doesn't help that my boss doesn't seem to understand all the side effects of quitting (the confusion, slowness, tiredness, cough, mood issues etc also the constipation, oh my word the constipation!) and I've been in work with her for the past three days!
Yep, bosses.....what can I say. Mine is young enough to be my son! When I said I'd given up he just laughed! Has never smoked so has no idea what so ever.
I wouldn't be without my vape. Managed 66 days quit with patches, fell by the wayside, and have restarted with my vape. I have 6mg juice in for now, seems to be going OK. You're right about seeing the 'smoke ' coming out, even when I was on 0 nic juice it stopped my cravings. Physiological I suppose.
Keep going, if you need to talk, we're all here for you.

What will a vape with 0 nicotine help with
Hi Jehovah, some of our members use vaping to wean themselves off smoking by reducing the nicotine content over a period of time. On 0% nicotine people are usually trying to break the hand to mouth habit!
Ok . Wouldn’t that still be causing damage to lungs
No because you are not taking in harmful chemicals that are in cigarettes. Have a look in the pinned posts for articles which explains vaping
Keep going! If it's worth doing it's worth doing right. Shut out as much as you can of the outside world and remind yourself what you're doing and why you're doing it. You can do it!!
Hi rebexy,
It does get Better Hun, these first few days are the toughest, you have to be strong and keep reminding yourself the reasons your quitting as well as plan what you will do with all the money your not wasti g on cigarettes 🚭🚭🚭
