Welcome to quit support Sonja, Unfortunately smoking and drinking seem to go together.
However you can overcome this, plan your evening , may be buy an e.cig it can be zero nicotine so it wont clash with your champix. Then when you fancy a smoke try the e.cig and tell yourself your a non smoker. Tell everyone you have quit smoking so they dont think your unsociable.
Have a read through our pinned posts , there is a lot of useful information there.

Sounds like you've identified where you can trip up Sonja, half the battle!
The rest for myself, has been making different choices; sometimes as simple as just removing myself from situations or people, that jeopardized my quit which had become priority. Focussing on my quit naturally removed me most of the time. I didn't see a close friend for a quite a while, when I went back into her company I was ready to be around her smoking.
The main difference I've noted in this quit is that I want it for long-term. Before, I realize now my attempts were more like 'having break'. (Mostly because my health was letting me know it wasn't a good idea). I was never committed deep down or truly believed I could do life, without the smoking crutch. I don't believe that lie today. This forum has helped me get to that.
One thing that stands out in this quit is the craving & thoughts of smoking have been removed. That's been a major relief. It amazes me how much energy I would burn up just thinking, buying & smoking nicotine. Which this week I found out is about a tenna to buy!!!! Wow!!!!
Wishing you the very best.
I'm so glad I took that journey..far more enriching than any of my smoking days.

Hi ping pong u sound like me. Every year I manage about 3 to 4 months then lapse. Same again this year. My problem partly is i smoke weed so giving up 2 things is really hard. As soon as I think it's safe to have a joint then I'm back in the nicotine cycle. Same happened again this easter. Now I'm ill again and having to go thru nicotine withdrawal again.
I guess it's avoiding alcohol for u but then life is a bit grim without a little fun.
Just keep trying. If at first u don't succeed try try try again.
It's an evil drug nicotine. Good luck. If u have any tips let me know. π
Try vaping I know they have marijuana flavors some good ones I'm told, and I've even seen ones with alcohol it's called on the rocks it's a add to your flavors, it's not easy quitting and vaping has worked for me I myself use zero nicotine put that's a choice too. Good luck! Pat yourself on the back for the week you have made it through you non smoker π
