Crazy cravings again today :-P

Hi all,

Hope you are all doing well. Today I'm restless and craving like crazy. My poor vaper must be feeling quite diminished, as I look at it and sigh for a.... you know what. Frickin white cylinders full of nasty stuff.

I think I need to buy a jar of pickles today, which sounds, yes, crazy, I know, but something tells me I need that sharpness of taste, that vinegary, salty taste to tame the cravings. Does that make any sense to any of you?

Yes that makes sense to me not least cos I like pickles. I was like eating loads have some nice pudding then want savoury again not too bad now tho.

If I had a pickle I'd give you one.

I'm sat here waiting for the place to heat up after being away I can't do anything til it gets warmer I hate coldness 😀👀

Hi Andrew! See, it would have been nice if you did have pickles to give to me, that way I wouldn't have dug into the jar of capers because that's all I had in the house!...

Hiya Atlantida, hope the pickles have helped, I used to go for Pringles salt and vinegar flavour but your idea is way healthier, so much better choice👍🏼 well done😊

Hi Briarwood - had no pickles in the house, so I dug into the jar of capers! They seemed to help a bit.

Nothing wrong with an occasional indulgence -- However, I've had a real "taste" for things salty since I stopped smoking. Trouble is that my blood pressure is up significantly -- and probably from salt intake according to my dr.

Yes, isn't it curious? I tend to gravitate towards salty/savory treats much more than I do with regards to sweets. But then again, I always favored savory over sweet, it's probably more noticeable now that I try to tame the cravings with certain foods. You stay on top of that blood pressure, Dunn.

I've seen meself act out in anyway, number of ways..Food has always been the cross addiction once fags are down. Had a whole season with Ben & Jerry's with the bravado, better than smoking. And it's true but it doesn't work for me to be in the same behaviour. I'm gently working with myself that this root of dependency isn't necessary or serving my true self. There's a million mistakes along the way but the significant difference is that however I witness myself act out, there's already a difference, in that I'm seeing it-Not good/not bad-Just seeing it-and it doesn't mean I have to stop doing what is serving me. Maybe it's like a sea-saw and it's slowly tilting to healthy actions & behaviours. being on this site is one of them for me. Go well, pickle or no pickle :O)

Hi atlantida and no it doesn't sound crazy (except the pickle eating bit.... Yuck) read yesterday's daily chat coz glolin was on about drinking vinegar cider with warm water 😮😊

As to the pickles remember NOPE.... Not One Pickle EVER.... 😱😊😊😊😊
