Hi there,I'm not sure if you can use both together as it may be too much nicotine for your system,if you use nicotine e-liquid aswell as patches which also contain nicotine.I'm also trying again tomorrow I'm using the e-cig as I can't use the patches I'm allergic to them. Good luck on your quit & a happy smoke free new year xxx

Hi Supermum

Good on you for not giving up on quitting, and thank -you for your honesty

I am not sure it is a good thing to use patches and e-cig together either, but have not used either so hopefully someone who knows more about it will comment :) :)

Let us know what day you start and we will be here to support you along the way :) :)

Maybe you and Lizzie can do this together :) :)

Hi, best of luck with your new quit. I wouldn't use both, you will only need the ecig. Go to the proper shop for them and get all info you can. I smoked 40 a day for 25 yrs and only needed the ecig. 14 weeks off fags, I just vape. It's not easy but it is do- able. Feeling so much better,

Hiya super mum and welcome to quit support😊

I think one or the other would be better or you may get too much nicotine. As you did very well to quit for 4 months before, you know you can do it. This site can make a huge difference to staying quit, so good luck and stay close. Wishing you a very happy and healthy New Year😊

Hi Supermum, I'm sorry it didnt work out for you last Year :( BUT, we are in a new Year now :) so lets get you sorted and smokefree eh :) :)

Patches are a great form of NRT :) but, sometimes you need a bit of extra help, like at stressful times etc :) If you go to a smoking cessation at your doctors for instance, you will be allowed 2 NRT products to help you, so you can use your e-cig for these times :) or maybe just try using your e-cig and see how that goes :)

I found my hardest times were at the weekend cos I wasnt working and had more time on my hands :o so, if this is the case for you too, maybe just put the patches on at the weekends if you see what I mean :)

I would really like you to make a quit smoking plan :) cos this dosnt just help you in the early days, but could also help in the later days too :) If you have a look at the Pinned Posts to the right of your post, you will see it :) If you need any help what so ever making your quit plan, then please just shout out gal :) :)

Mum, you've done it before :) the only difference is, that was a practice run and this time your going for GOLD :) :) So try to think what made you light that first cig :o and think of a way to get around it if it happens again :) Please just ask if you need help with it :)

Good luck Mum and hope to speak soon :) :)

Pete :)
