Errrrm yep unfortunately head banging is a very common side effectπ© if you can drink lots of water to flush out the toxins, it would help. You are detoxing from 4000 plus chemicals so be patient with yourself as it takes a while to feel the benefits of your quit. Some excellent breathing techniques on the right that help your cravings pass and have a very calming effect. May I ask if you're cold turkey or using a nicotine replacement as this will help us assist you. Any problems just shout out as lots of experienced people on here. Our motto is NOPE not one puff ever and hang in there as it will get easierπx
Hello there! Thank you for your encouragement! π. I cut down to four a day prior to quitting and was too tight to buy the patches so have just been using those Nicorette lozenges and chewing gum...
Was wondering, does using the NRT drag the cravings out longer I.e. Would I be better going cold turkey?
Well Rachel, it does take a bit longer if you're using NRT but the good thing is ya can decrease it in stages. Whereas cold turkey is quicker but you're hit with all the side effects at once. it all achieves the same end result so honestly it's what you feel happiest with. Maybe have a read of some of the quit stories on here and see what ya thinkπx

I see you've had some great advice from our lovely Briarwood and like she say's, its pretty normal feel like your feeling in the early stages of your quit BUT, it will get easier, just be patient please

isnt it strange?! Today's been the hardest yet for me, can't say 'I want one' ...just feel like 'something's missing'. Did some gardening earlier and it dawned on me that I can't have a smoke in the sun...that's the first time I can honestly say I've felt a genuine 'hard craving'π. Using lozenges and chewing gum π
