Well hello - I am on my 13 days quit today and feeling tired and emotional today ...... I have quit previously with help of patches and did it for 8 years and then I started again 4-5 years ago - I felt total disappointment and hatred for myself for starting again - why??? Anyway it's done and I now have to realise that I need to succeed this time - I am not using any NRT - feeling tired though x

Hi Shazbog and a big warm welcome to quit support

Good on you for making the decision to quit smoking again :) )

You have done it before so you know that you can do it again.

If you can remember what happened when you had that first smoke 4-5 years ago. If you can identify the reason emotions etc you can then plan ahead and put some strategies in place to prevent this happening again :) :)

Congratulations on getting through the first 13 days cold turkey.. :) :) We have a great quit family here who is very supportive of each other. IF you do have a bad day and need a little support, come on here and shout out.. you are most welcome to come and join in the daily chat which is often full of light hearted chivalry as this all helps deflect from cravings :) :)

Hey shazbog! What a name! Love it! :) :)

I take my hat off to you, you are really working it there, and cold turkey too! Huge well done!

Just a quick question. Are you feeling as good about yourself as you should be? Cos I think you should be feeling really proud :)

We all wish we hadn't started, like you say, we can't change the past, but by gum, you are taking the present and the future in hand. You can't do more than that! So stick with it, be proud of yourself, cos we are all very proud of you here. Credit where it's due, eh :) :)

Xx
