Hi

My quit date is today. I have tried so many times before. I have never smoked many only 3 to 7 a day but have been unable to give up always buying more when I m bored or feeling fed up. I exercised regularly in past but since having sports injury can only swim

Welcome Pastill , You have come to the right place to help you through your quit Journey.

First of all You need to make a plan, Set yourself a quit date and stick to it. Discard any cigarettes or tobacco related items, this includes ashtrays lighters etc. Dont go out and buy any cigarettes, save your money for a special treat for yourself. Write down the reason you want to stop smoking. Pin this note somewhere where you will see it on a daily basis . Get plenty of healthy nibbles aroung to replace the cigarette breaks you used to have. Drink plenty of water , and make a point of doing some breathing exercises.

Have a read through the pinned posts and topics . There is plenty of information on there to start your quit journey. Consider a nicotine replacement to help you.

Come on this site daily for support, and answers to any of your queries.

I will assign you a progress badge. which will be next to your name. :) xx
