Really struggling
Sorry your struggling Sharon. You certainly don't need negative people in your face. This stopping smoking is hard enough. You must ignore them and know that you are doing a great job. Maybe they are jealous of your strength.
Everytime I weaken I look at the amount of money I have saved and spend time planning my next holiday.
Have a nice soak in the bath and know that you will forever smell nice.
Hey there - I 2nd 3rd and 4th all the comments left for you here!! tell them to take a running jump!! i am still using an e cig occasionally - I call it my dummy!! it has served me well both during and after my journey with Lung Cancer!! tell em that what I had is an alternative to the e cig!!! Well done you and keep doing what you are doing, have a lovely smoke free Christmas!! Vee xx
Sharon you are doing an amazing job of quitting, it's one of the hardest things to do and anyone who has smoked knows this
Please don't listen to anyone that tells you otherwise
You can do one step at a time and if ecigs help you quit then that's fantastic
You don't even have to think about quitting the ecig now, honestly
If people are negative towards this, then it's their problem and not yours
You are not ingesting 4000 chemicals from stinky cigs, so it's all good
You really don't have to justify yourself to anyone else and as my Mum used to say, if you have nothing good to say then say NOTHING, perhaps you should tell them that
I'm telling you that you are doing brilliant and believe me, it's true x
There is NO WAY on God's green earth that you should even consider giving up on the Ecig.Haters are always gonna hate & cast doubts making you doubt yourself but that's just their hard luck really they have no right to question a 6 week quit after smoking for 30 years. You are AMAZING (repeat after me,I AM AMAZING, O.K.) You've done really really well to get this far PLEASE don't chuck all that effort away.I got rid of my ECig after 12 weeks & I still think that was too soon,I used my ECig up until the very minute I walked into the hospital for my back surgery didn't have a choice after that really, wish I'd had it for a while longer. As KC & Briar have said just think of how much you've saved money wise & health wise & keep putting on that Ecig for as long as you need to.Hugs H x
I really do understand, Sharon, because I get the same, but you know what? Its MY quit, and I just know how my breathing, throat, voice, purse.........and so much more has improved. And I am proud not to be buying nasty tobacco plus nasty nasty chemical additives - including bronchial dilators to make them get in to me even worse (how are they even allowed to do that!!!) Smoking since so young, I've tried lots of times, and just couldn't keep it going for long enough. This time though, I can manage, one phase/step at a time, my way. Three quarters of my life so far I was a smoker. Undoing that in 12 weeks didnt work for me. We all do it the best way we can.
You are you, be so proud of you, because you are doing/being fantastic!
Go girl, and pay no attention to those who don't know or understand a thing about it.
Sending warm cherishing wishes, and a heap of strength to you
Xx
Thank you so much my quit family
Hi Sharon
Don't listen to all the negative people and you hold your head up high coz you are a non smoker and don't let anybody tell you otherwise
It doesn't matter how people stop smoking whether it's an ecig, patches or any other NRT you've stopped smoking end of and if people don't like it then don't bother with them. As the other ladies have said you have done brilliantly so keep the good work
Xx
Originally I set a date to quit smoking. I decided on the ecig to help. After a few months, I set a date for that too. i found myself slowing stopping prior to my date. Ignore people. Negativity is not what you need. You have all ready taken a HUGE step. Celebrate that.
Next time you cop criticism, quote that famous Scottish philosopher Argus Tuft. If you want to use an e.cig for the rest of your life that's your business, no-one else's. My personal preference was to be free of all association with nicotine, but these holier than thou's really get my back up.
Roneo, so true, some people just don't want us to succeed and if we look like we might be they put the boot in, sad, thank u for your support xxx
Sharon, I agree with all the comments on here
Sharon, your No 1 gal and dont you forget that you quit which ever way you thinks best for you AND nobody else
If these people are smokers, then their jealous cos they cant quit but you can if their non smokers, then they aint got a flippin clue how hard it is to quit, have they
Although you have an e-cig to help you, like I have and many others you might still be getting some nicotine, BUT not all those 4000 other toxins that fags have in them
Take care now Sharon xx
Thank u Monky! Luvs ya and merry Xmas
Hi Sharon you are doing really well. People keep telling me as well when I am going to give up the e cig as well. So you are not the only one there. When people tell me when I am going to give up the e cig I tell them when I am ready I will give it up. Not when then tell me to. Just keep with the e cig. As it is helping you to quit. Keep your chin up hun xxx
Thank you oxfordholly xxxx
Sharon, people kept saying to me 'when you gonna lose weight?' so eventually I lost weight..... then they kept saying 'when you gonna give up smoking?' so eventually I gave up smoking...... now they keep sayng 'when you gonna lose weight'...... Im just grateful they have stopped saying 'when you gonna get married?' or my old favourite... 'when are you gonna settle down and have kids...??? '
If it aint one thing its something else..... so just flippin ignore em otherwise they'll send you mad
Chin up and keep up the good work hun as your sooooo close to two months
I totally agree with everything already said, I had a lot of negative comments thrown at me over th e cig, ex smokers being the worst telling me how they did it without using one. At the end of the day I never thought I would ever manage to stop smoking after 30ish years and never would have managed it without it. Stay strong and stick with it
Thank you for your support xxx
