Hi Luckylou and a huge welcome to Quit support. I would suggest that you see your GP to try and identify what is causing the pain you are experiencing.

It may just appear to be worse with quitting as you body adjusts to the changes from you not smoking cigarettes.

Quitting smoking will improve your overall health and wellbeing, try reading some of published info under the topic headings:) :)

Keep up the great work :) :)

Hi luckylou73 (Lisa?), welcome to Quit Support :-)

When using patches, it is common to feel a dull ache or have the feeling of a dead arm however, I'm not 100% sure about the pain you are feeling so would most definitely recommend that you get it checked out by your Doctor.

Let us know how you get on won't you, and remember that stopping smoking is the single most important thing you can do for your health :-)

Aup LuckyLou, a big warm welcome to this lovely quit support site :) and a big well done for making that vital decision to quit smoking :)

The patches are an excellent form of nrt :) I've used them myself so if you need any help with them, just you give us a shout eh :o :)

As for the pain in your back and chest, erm, I dont think quitting smoking is anything to do with it, so like the others have said, I would nip and see ya doc and he will probably give you some tablets to take or send you for a massage eh :D :D

You take care now Lisa and please keep us informed on how things go :)

Pete :) xx
