Is it Montana Rubens by any chance, cos I've got one growing at the top of my garden, growing over my pergola they call it Mile a minute Clematis
I hope you get your flippin e-cig sorted out gal you take care now
That's beautiful Mrs Sunnyside. We had one of those up the front of our house for years. It never flowered, just climbed and climbed til one day I looked behind our bed and found it had got in through the garage door and forced it's way through the floorboards (our bedroom is above the garage) and was growing behind our bed
Yep, I'll come and help you kick your e-cig around I've ditched mine now, soooo had enough of it last week. I am now on day 3 without an e-cig at all, just nicotine lozenges, I have to say I do miss it but it is obviously the habit I miss cos it sure wasn't giving out any nicotine last time I used it. Life is a little more peaceful though without me cursing and swearing at the thing every 5 minutes.
Oh and congratulations on your 8 months quit, that's brilliant
While we are on the subject of gardening, not something I ever really bother with - it takes patience, I don't have any. Anyway, the pond is now done and a new patio has been installed too by my hubby who has worked very, very hard. So today we are having big argument on ummm landscaping. To enable drainage to be put in to drain spring water away from beneath the pond he has had to dig out quite a big trench. We are going to make a bit of a rockery. So hubby wanted to cut yet more of the grass bit of the garden away to make it all straight. I don't want him to cos there'll be no grass left and the more border you have - the more maintenance. It will just end up full of weeds and look a mess. So, I don't see what is wrong with a lopsided border narrower at the top than at the bottom, and hubby says it looks stupid and I say it doesn't, it looks natural. So symetrical or asymetrical, what do you reckon? Well it's not literally asymetrical it's just.......tell you what I'll take a picture.
Looking forward to the picture of the asymetrical lawn Sinfree, trying to imagine it !! I've given up helping in the garden these days as we always end up arguing, our ideas clash !
but I have been known to pull up plants thinking they are weeds !! Lol
I put all the pics on flickr. The pond has been there for years but it sprung a leak after the liner perished from age. Remember ages ago when we came up to your area Sunny to pick up a pond liner we bought off ebay - well this is what started the whole thing off, just wanted to replace the liner not redesign the whole garden, but along with some reclaimed flags again off ebay, here is the result.
Sinfree, hubby has worked very very hard, I'd love a pond but we haven't got the room for one, we removed our lawn 2 years ago and now have the area stoned with pots and stepping stones, so much easy'er, hubby hated mowing the lawn.
Your photo's looking good, you have a great patio area for sitting out in the summer months now xx
