Hi Michelle

Congratulations on stopping smoking and a massive warm welcome to quit support - the wonderful and very friendly people on here really will help to keep you motivated, and also offer lots of support and advice if you do feel that you are struggling a bit.

Most importantly of all, stay positive and you really will get there in the end!

Best wishes

Chrissie

Michelle that's fantastic and I have to admit that is exactly how I felt this time after so many failed attempts to stop in the past, this time I just believed I could do it and thanks to the support on here I've held on to that feeling throughout.

Stay positive and do it one day at a time, if necessary do it one hour at a time, those hours and days really do add up and every day I wake up I'm just so happy I got to that day and you can do exactly the same!

we're all rooting for you so stay strong! :) :) :) xxx

Welcome to quit support. Like Chrissie says this is the place for advice, a good old moan or a laugh. Think of all the money you will save. :)

Hey Michelle, a big warm welcome to this lovely quit site gal, and a massive well done to you for actually deciding to quit :) :)

Cos sometimes, I think that is one of the hardest parts of quitting, Setting your quit date, especially, if you have relapsed in the past, cos its always in the back of your mind, you have to get rid of this doubt that's in your mind:o :)

You must know now what your trigger points are :o soooo, work on them :) Like the Girls have said, if you want to flippin moan, shout, scream, or need help, you come on here gal, cos somebody will be about to help you :)

Michelle, if you don't mind me asking, what are the patches that you are using ?

Speak soon, Pete :)

Well done Michelle, I used patches and gum just on the gum now imagine what you can do with all that money you save, put it in a jar daily and watch it grow so satisfying I went on a holiday a couple of weeks ago with what I have saved so far, boy it makes you feel good, good luck x

Hi Michelle, lovely to have you join us :-)

You sound really determined and so should hold on to this feeling and crack on with your quitting :-)

By using combination therapy (more than one product) you are increasing your chances of staying stopped. Initially I would recommend that you make sure you have your patch on as directed, and then use your lozenges at least every hour on the hour and more if you need them. Eventually you will be able to use them less often.

You've most certainly come to the right place for help and support and there's almost always somebody around to chat to :-)

Hi Michelle,

Great to see you, and welcome, you will be fine, like you i was sick of throwing my money away and being a slave to something that was killing me.

Look forward to seeing more of you.
