Emjay, thank you for the facts and fiction about giving up.

Jilly thank you for the ice breakers every morning.

Helen, thank you from the bottom of my boots for all you help and concern over everything, and for the tips on reducing my nicotine.

Sin.... Hun I love your straight to the point "warts and all" attitude, the fact you just say " listen up its gonna be tough at times " actually helped me through and that we are going to reduce or nic levels together..... Ermm very slowly :)

Pete thank you for all the smileys and encouragement, you always cheer me up.

Summer for your help and advice on the ecig.

For whoever told me to read the Allen Carr book ( sorry it's late and I can see your avi but not your name ) was it Rozi?????

Chrissie and all the pipps for energising the forum and giving me something to check on each day ..... How are you all getting on? It's been a week now :)

Ellie for your help and for showing me how to do marble nails :)

Too many mention but if you have ever encouraged me or spurred me on....thank you!

I know most of you know I have been having a tough time in my personal life and things are pretty dire .... However there is no way I would have made it through without a cig if it was not for all of you. So I have reached 2 months today and the driving force for me quitting was seeing my grand kids ( please note.... My rather geeky only child doesn't even have a girlfriend but one day .... Who knows lol ) after a terrifying nightmare I knew I had to quit!

So this week I won't be around much, but don't worry for I am celebrating my sons 21st birthday with him. Busy week, Sunday I drove up from kent to Manchester with him and went to see dancing on ice which was amazing, today we went shopping in Manchester then up to our motherland in Cumbria to prepare for a big friends and family meal tomorrow night.... Then Wednesday back to kent to get ready for his actual 21st on Thursday and straight after the present opening we are off to Paris until Saturday :) so a fun and busy week indeed! I will check in when I can but don't worry if I am not on much.

Hope everyone is staying strong and doing well.

Love to you all

Al x ( and Zac ) x

Al, you have done so well in the face of everything that has happened. Go away on your trip to Paris and have an amazing time with your Zac. This will be your first non-smoking holiday in a long time and a completely new experience.

Remember, if you do reach any point of 'wanting' to smoke, ride the feeling through. Remembering that you can only smoke if you go into a shop to buy a packet or if you ask somebody for one. I don't believe that you will do any of these.

Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy and we'll look forward to hearing all about it when you get back.

Big congrats to you Al, you have done fantastic really proud of you, hope you have a fantastic time in Paris, after my first day back at work doesn't feel like I have had a holiday but it was great while it lasted, so make some special happy memories with your son for his 21st, spoil yourself and get some sightseeing done, it's a great place to people watch, one of my favourite pastimes, love it, so chic in Paris you deserve this break more than anyone I think and tell us all the details when you get back, can't wait x x x

Enjoy your break Al, have a great time in Paris and have fun.
