Just had an amazing time in Gibraltar. Walked the mediterranean steps and all round the coast line of the Island, barring the tunnel where pedestrians are not allowed. I hitched a lift through that as i was being chased by monkeys.Best thing i ever did, financially and health wise, quitting

Great to hear from you again lanemorph, So glad you enjoyed your holiday. May be your post will encourage others to quit. Take care. xx
Thanks Jillygirl. I am hoping that my posts gives others the encouragement and incentive to quit. Cigs were £10 for 200 and spirits £3 a litre, and i'm considered mean because i wouldn't fetch any back. I would like my friends to quit not fuel their habit!!!.Heres to my next jaunt, courtesy of being a non smoker. x,
Thank you lanemorph, this really is motivational! I've been saying forever that I cannot afford to go on holiday, but actually, when I stop (which will be very soon) I will be able to - thank you for giving me something to aim for (I hadn't actually thought about that until now!)
Thank you Chrissie. I have been to so many places since i quit, and met so many new friends, i wish i'd done it years ago.I wont pretend it's easy because it isn't at first. You invent all sorts of excuses to start again but, thanks to this group, i resisted temptation. Now, i never think about smoking. I am certain you can do it and, i can't wait to see your holiday pictures on here.
Hey Lanemorph, its flippin lovely to see you again gal am soooooo glad your benefitting from being smoke free
Thank you for posting this, cos like you say, it might just shake somebody up, and to see what money they spend on fags could be spent on instead
Am soo glad you had a lovely holiday and many more to come
PS, I assure you Laney, I wasn't one of the monkys that chased you cos it would take me flippin agessssss gal to get to Gibraltar on my rowing machine then I would be toooo creamcrackered to chase you
Enjoy gal, you flippin ENJOY Pete
You will get there one day Pete. us.cdn3.123rf.com/168nwm/hi...
Pete this made me laugh. Believe me i frightened the guy who i got the lift off. I had the rock on my left, the sea on my right, the tunnel behind me and the apes coming from the front. I went for the tunnel and they were still coming. When i saw the truck, i ran, jumped the wall and nearly took his wing mirror. I said, HELP!!!!!!!!!!! and jumped in.
Hey there lovely to hear how well you've done and that you're still reaping the rewards from stopping smoking
You keep on marching forward, your going in the right direction (as long as there are no monkeys ahead!) and travelling from country to country and enjoying yourself along the way is the way to do it!
Well done you!
Thank you Emjay. It amazes me still, when people say, we can't afford to go away. These are the same people spending £60 a week on cigs. My reply to them is, well, i can't afford to smoke. Already looking for May and, as long as i have a destination, and something to look forward to, i can live without the cigarettes. Wherever i go, i'll post a picture and hope it encourages at least one person to quit. No animals though!!!!!
Just so motivational for those still smoking. You'll see so much of the world and stay healthy by quitting.I love to hear of your travels so keep the pics coming.Hugs H
