Hi Katy and welcome to our lovely community. I'm just wondering which part of NSW you're in cos this time next week I'll be in Cairns then start driving down over a couple of weeks to end up in Byron Bay for Christmas.
Hello Andi, we are on the south coast of NSW, about 180km south of Sydney. Have you been to Australia before? Bit of a different Christmas for you I would think. I am originally from Glasgow but have lived here for over 30 yrs. It took a long, long time for me to get used to summer in December. I'm sure you'll have a great time.
Hi Katy, yes I've been a couple of times before. On my first trip in 2000 I got as far south on a day trip to see the blow hole at Kyama. I've "done" Sydney twice so don't really need to go there again. My brother lives near Byron so that's why I'm ending up there. I know it won't feel like Christmas but it'll be different - and no, he doesn't do a barbie on the beach Christmas dinner. I've had Christmas in the Alps as well with loads of snow, but no-one does Christmas like the Brits. I guess you'll be off to bed shortly so I'll bid you good night.
