G'day Droopy. Thanks for the encouragement. I still battle with the down times but I have found solutions other than cigarettes. Not so much a revelation, I always KNEW that smoking didn't fix anything. My weight is sloooowly on the way down. I think I put on 10kgs since I first attempted to quit. (about 8 more to lose). I'm feeling in the best health I have enjoyed for many years.

Mmm this weight gain is driving me nuts but I am just not in the right place.... I put on about 30lbs and have lost about 6.... Which is rubbish in 20 months but hey Ho we don't smoke anymore 😊😊
I'd dearly love to tell you how easy it is Droopy but..... 40 minutes a day on an eliptical trainer, 3 rounds of golf a week, mowing lawns twice a week & all on 1/3 cup of oats for brekkie & an evening meal. Plenty of snacky foods like raw carrots, apples, watermelon, cherry tomatoes, pineapple, rockmelon. Re-awakening this metabolism of mine feels like 10% outcome from 100% effort. It still makes more sense than boosting your metabolism by forcing your body to "work harder" to eliminate all the toxins that come with smoking.
