It's lovely and sunny here in Dundee but a bit cold, at least the wind has gone, I'll need to go and rake all the leaves up that landed in my garden yesterday, hope i can stay awake long enough i keep nodding off
Morning All.....Day 24...YAH! Nearly into my 1st month! Going to quit support group tonight, I'm the only one there who has not had a cig during stoptober so I am the teachers pet...lol! When I first went my CO reading was a whopping 33 and now it's down to 3. My hubby is still smoking but i've come to the conclusion that's his problem not mine.
Anyway everybody enjoy this glorious day and be happy in the knowledge that we are and will always be SMOKE FREE! Dawn xxx

Aup Dawn thats just great news gal, 24 days smoke free just think how your body feels about that eh
As for your hubby, yes you've made the right decision cos you cant make anybody quit, you have to want too !! I have tried with er-in-doors, but it just causes upset, so just dont say anything now eh, you keep up the good work gal, erm, got a little prezzie for ya, orrrrrrr your teacher
Today looks like a lovely day to make a decision to stay stopped, remembering that smoking isn't all that it leads you to believe that it is either. Just looking at the above picture shows that
Having just had a meeting with all our stop smoking advisors, I was wondering what everybody's motivation is to stop smoking,to keep on trying to stop or to stay stopped? The thing about motivation is that it’s not a constant variable. Today might be a high point but tomorrow it may be gone. As Zig Ziglar put it: “People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing – that’s why we recommend it daily.”
I've come across a list of motivational quotes that somebody has related to stopping smoking, I'm gong to pop it up in separate post so when you get a craving, grab a seat and have a read through it as I'm sure it'll help and inspire you
Dawn, from 33 alllllll the way down to 3! That's brilliant Using the carbon monoxide monitor is a fantastic way of monitoring how well you are doing. With regards to your hubby smoking, you have the right attitude. At the end of the day, most of us are going to know somebody who smokes. It's a case of just accepting that it is there choice to smoke and ours not to. You carry on being the teachers pet, the star pupil. I'm sure you will be encouraging others within your group to want to continue to making another attempt Well done to you
Andi, no matter what the weather sends you I'm sure you will always find some sort of exercise to fit into your day
Sue, you just take it easy and do what you can do. I bet those leaves are a lovely autumn colour now, look forward to the day when you will be kicking them up into the air with Nairn
Good idea about the rake Andi, it would make things easier, might borrow my brothers enjoy your yoga
Woo hoo, well done Dawn, that's a brill CO reading, bet your well chuffed your a star
Got half the leaves done Emjay, it's cuppa time now if anyone wants one, can't wait till i can run about with Nairn, it will be so much easier now that I don't smoke
Fantastic, fantastic everyone, Jilly love your graphics! Dawn, whoopie doo, well done you Off to London now so in very high spirits today See you all on Monday I'm so looking forward to seeing my kid and she is going to be ecstatic that I'm not smoking.
Hi ya Sue erm, just wondering if you got all the leaves raked up gal Hey, and you put em in your compost bin, if you got one gal, cos they rot down lovely
Andi, I hope you managed to get out today erm, I hope you dont mind me asking you, but what the flippin eck is Ashtanga yoga ?? is it something to do with being tangoed
It's just another variation but I seem to find it a bit more dynamic than other things of the ilk that I've tried. The idea is to eventually be able to do things like wrap your legs around your neck whilst standing on your head - or something like that - if you practise every day! Maybe a bit like the hermits we saw in India last year, but I'll never become that flexible. (Drat, can't find the image I want. )

Hmmmm, I think I know what you are on about Andi Ok I see that we have to try and keep flexible, but, cant really think why I would want to put my leg around my neck

Well, I won't be around from tomorrow over the weekend as I'm off to my god-daughter's wedding in Coventry. Then I'm going to my brother's for Christmas this year.
