How are you today Start of a new week and for some of you start of your quit.
It doesnt matter whether your just thinking about quitting or just starting your quit, whether you have been quit for days ,weeks ,months, or years .As long as we all end up smoke free in the end. Plenty of advice and help on here plus lots of friends who are all after the same result. The main thing is dont expect to stop without a fight as Mr Nicotine is a tough guy. However when he finds it a struggle to get into your brain he slowly dies off.
So keep strong and positive and as Jonathan says NOPE. Not One Puff Ever.

Well I'm almost into my 3rd week (tomorrow) and it's always around this time that I slip up. But I'm aware of this now and will not give in! Hope everyone has a great day!
Hello & good afternoon Jilly, Dawn & BeeL + everyone else
Yes I think around 3-4 weeks the novelty of NOT smoking has gone BUT in a way we should look at this time as moving into a NEW way of life as a NON SMOKER. This is what we want to be ... FREE from the filth and all the horrible things smoking did to us. We are no longer a slave to Mr Nic, we do NOT every 20 minutes have to feed that flippin MONSTER.
Stay calm, positive & SMOKE FREE. Only way to go........
I'm slowly but surely catching myself up since being away. I've had the odd hiccup getting on here last night and this morning but it looks like all is good now
Dawn, lovely to see that you're still cracking on. Remember to stay as positive as you possibly can, I know I say this all the time but it really does help. Think about where it went wrong for you the last couple of times? You may find that you smoked out of curiosity - "I'll just try this and see if I'm over it" kind of thing? Or was it because of something that you were doing that took you back to a time / memory of when you smoked and you automatically reached for a cigarette without realising it? Were you stressed about something? If you can pin point that, then you are the next best step in front this time round. You'll be a 4 week quitter before you know it
Jonathan, NOPE! NOPE! NOPE! all the way You are doing so well, I remember when you first popped on
BeeL, big smiles all the way so that they make up for the times that you don't feel like it
Hey JillyGirl, did you see the photies of Eye with Pete Reed the Olympic rower? He's such a lovely person inside as well as out
I found those pics eventually Eye. I wouldn't have a clue who you were with - except that he looks young and fit! Did he give you any rowing tips then? If he didn't, I know a man who can.
Do you know ladies he is such a gentleman, been supporting our charity for 4 years. Also a Lieutenant in the Royal Navy so a real officer and a gentleman. His link with us is that the has the highest ever recorded lung capacity, more than 11litres!
Auntie's back in hospital with what's probably a urinary infection. The good thing is that she's in our local one so I walked there this evening so that was my exercise for the day.

Aww, sorry to hear that Andi, hows her arm now ?? erm when ever my Mam has to go into hospital, she always catches something their usually a urinal infection, etc, so instead her being in their a couple of days, it turns out to be a flippin week
It was her hip she broke. Apparently she got that checked out last week and they were happy with that recovery. She remembered that trip last week.
