Good morning everyone. I hope you are all well and rested up for another
smoke free day. When you first try and quit smoking , it can be a bit of a roller coaster ride. One minute your elated and feel great, next minute you feel on edge and irritable and think "is it worth it?"
IS IT WORTH IT? the answer is simply yes. Your health is the most important thing to you, and your family and friends. Believe me i know from first hand experience, and now Veecatz is telling you the same.
Dont be frightened of asking for help , that is what the site is all about.
Emjay is waiting for any questions you wish to ask , and you can do this on the questions page or send her a private message.
Anyway whatever your doing today , have a lovely smoke free one.

Good morning Jillygirl and everyone, l love your pic Jillygirl
It's so true, stopping smoking is the most important thing anyone can do for their health, so stick with it everyone, the bad times will get less and less, and it is so worth it.
I'm off out shopping later on, joining you in the shopping dash Jillygirl i've been sooo busy the past couple of days i didn't have time before.
A big wave to all the new members, hope your all doing great kettle's on if anyone wants a cuppa
Hope we ALL have a smoke free day .... and if we are talking about health being the most important thing then the most important thing we can do for our health is STOP SMOKING ... "yes" x 1000
I am going on holiday first thing Saturday morning for 1 week so may not be able to read everyones wonderful comments .... I so hope my holiday will be smoke free.
I hope you all have a really good day. I'm in one of my quiet moods at the moment which is why I haven't been around for a few days but have been keeping up with all the posts and want to add my welcome to the new members. Also to Simba, wish you all the best. With your continued efforts to quit.
Jonathan, I just had to say that it really is a lovely feeling when you are on holiday and smoking isn't part of it. I had a couple of days away a little while ago and stayed in a guest house. It was so wonderful to not have to think about going outside to smoke. It really adds time and definitely made me realise just how much time I have lost over the years to smoking. Have a great time.
Good morning Sally, I know what you mean about being quiet moods. I think we are all a bit like that at times. I am a bit like Sue ok until about 7.00pm then start getting tired and cant be bothered.
Ah well at least we all understand each other. I hope your ok otherwise. catch up later. xx
Morning Suec. How are you today. Hope you haven't done the supermarket run with me and Sue52 , I think she is cheating just look at the amount of shopping she has got.
Just chilling out today. Officially retired on 23rd July so have plenty of time on my hands but still keep doing the shopping in the evening, think like smoking it is a habit. I am sure that it is less crowded in the day. Not been on for a while but hopefully back on track again, hope your house move went ok in the end. Sue 52 hope you are well and enjoying your new grandaughter. Like the pic Jillygirl suec x
Hi Simba, happy retirement. Thank you for asking the house move went ok . Lots of modernisation needed to the flat though. Still it will be lovely when its finished. Have a lovely day.
Thank you not quite got used to it yet, everyone tells me it will take months, I think everyday when I wake it is Saturday or Sunday. Glad your move went ok and you will soon get through the modernisation required than you can sit back and relax. We have a 4 bedroomed semi and it is far too big for the two of us would love to move to something smaller but OH is adamant we are stopping, we have been here for 40 years and I am ready for a change would love something like you have. I don't think OHs realise how hard it is to keep something large looking nice. Have a lovely evening. Sue cx
Just back from my pt session. The reason I can go every week is down to all the money I'm not spending any more on cigarettes. Win, win!
Jonathan, you enjoy your holiday and think of those extra little treats you and your family can have with the money you've saved already in your short time of quitting.
Hi Sally, I get quiet moods too, other times I'm too tired, like Jillygirl says, we all have those day I hope you have a great day
Hi Suec, you have a lovely relaxing day, you deserve it I'm feeling better today, thank you, been spending lots of time with Nairn, he's doing great, can't believe he's 3 months old already
He is absolutely gorgeous Sue I am sure you are very proud. My youngest is now 9 months old and getting to be a real rogue, we look after him two days a week when my daughter is at work. I forgot how tiring it was or is it just that I am getting old!! sue c x
Thanks Sue, just having a break from the ironing still not got used to doing things in the day, seem to wander about doing nothing and then get motivated in the evening. Have a lovely evening. Take care and keep smiling sue c x
Hi again, I know this has nothing to do with quitting , but I have just been on line looking at door stickers for No Junk Mail etc. Now as some of you know I am in a first floor flat , with only one door for entry. I thought about one sticker which reads Please use the back door. What do you think?
Your right I have got to do it.. By the way Emjay is down London way gallivanting. but she cant access the site. That's what you get when you lead an exciting life. te he
I hope you've all been having a relaxing afternoon after your busy mornings. Me, I went to the beach - weird but it seems that Thursdays are the best days of the week since our heatwave.
Sue, I think you need to buy some doors for your kitchen, otherwise all that stuff will be falling out of them. (Lovely pic of Nairn btw. )
Jilly, I didn't see the sign - just the result, but yes, I think you should get one - or maybe that could be a project for one of your gds when your sitting next time.
Suec, didn't realise you'd retired now, brilliant, isn't it, not having all that stuff you have to put up with every day - just please yourself what you want (or don't want) to do each day - your own boss, Yippee! :/
Big waves to Sally too. And as for Emjay - off gallivanting yet again!
PETE, hope you get on here soon!

Of course! I had 2 gorgeous dips in the sea, would probably have gone in more but there were some high clouds kept coming over. It was quite choppy today so that made it much easier to get in.
Just heard from Emjay again. (by the way she was working) Still cant get on site. She is just about to get on the train home. However a seagull has just pooped all over her. I told her it was supposed to be lucky.
