The sun's shining and the garden had a watering this morning, hope the rain stays away. I think the weather word of this year will have to be wind because nearly every day seems to be pretty breezy. Much better than rain though. It does make it more difficult to light those pesky cigs though - another reason to give them up?
I must do some house work today so have a good one and see you later.
At 7AM tomorrow it will be 2 weeks again (thank goodness!!) - wow I sure did make it all difficult.. never mind I am the real thing now Mr Non Smoker - hurray ..... it is all about learning to live, do everything without the cigs and to anybody just starting to quit it is possible ..... I do NOT think I was born with a cig in my mouth (so it must have been okay once !!). Still light headed a lot of the time and a few cravings coming & going but I do feel miles better.
Pete - many thanks for your messages and sorry to miss you. Will watch the drink (you are so correct) and will return from holiday a non smoker.
Have a great smoke free day // week everyone & best wishes
Andi I was just thinking how we used to struggle trying to light a ciggy in the wind. If we had as much determination for quitting as we had then it would be so easy.
That is so true about the determination that went into continuing to smoke Jilly. I still go outside for non smoking breaks when I use it to clear my head and stretch my legs but have to say Andi, that it is nice to know that I don't have to go out in bad weather to smoke anymore.
Apologies for not making it on yesterday, I had no internet access on my train journey and then once I got settled at home - after having showered and getting cleaned up following the not so nice present I received from Mr or Mrs Seagull! - I think you had all gone to bed. It's a good job I believe that 'muck is luck' - shall be putting the lottery on, that's for sure!
JillyGirl, not only do I feel I haven't seen any of July, but I don't think I've even had a sniff of this week and it's Friday already! Friday the 9th August where is the time going?!
Jonathan, have a lovely holiday and if you do find yourself struggling at all, just remember that you only have to get over that moment. The feeling will eventually go away, it may take seconds or minutes - but however long, it won't last forever. If you have to, just think about how and where it is leaving you feeling. Breath in through your nose and out through your nose to the count of 10. This will probably leave you feeling a bit spaced, but it's only because of the oxygen rush. This isn't a bad thing
Andi, happy house-working to ya
Sally, using what would have been your old smoking break as a chance to stretch the legs is a great idea. Rather than a smoking break, its a 'break for all' which is most definitely fairer
I have a fair few messages to get through and respond to so shall go and grab a cuppa and crack on
No, I wasn't yomping in that big pond today. Won't get there before next week again as I don't think the weather will be good enough. As for cleaning or gardening, well! Every time I set about doing anything the phone rang or there was someone at the door. My friend with the broken wrist popped in with an update after she'd been to her 1st physio - already! They've taken her plaster off and she just has a strap-on thingy now and is so bored she's going back to work next week.
I gave up after lunch and went out on my bike and did nearly 11 miles so I'm happy with that.
I am confused again. I am getting ready for bed but I didn't say I was. So Pete if your using your physic powers Night night and god bless. love ya too. xx
