Yep, beautiful sunny, sun, sun today. Just back from a lovely run on the prom then back along the cliff top. Abso-blooming-lutely fabulous views this morning and a skein of geese flew past. Managed to do 5k for the second time - 1st time was last Sunday - so well pleased with that.
If anyone's wondering what this has to do with quitting smoking, this is my way of trying to lose the stone I put on over the first year of quitting. It all seems so much harder to lose it when you're middle aged and I've never really had to worry about it before now but all my hard work is starting to pay off as the scales have started going down instead of up or sideways.
Jillygirl, I hope you have a lovely walk with your granddaughter, erm to who knows where but hey you come back to us gal, cos I need ya
Andi, it sounds as if you really enjoyed your run this morning and a big well done to you for doing the 5K Hmmmmm are you sure your scales havnt bin tampered with

Hi all - my attempt at americanism!
Hope your day has been as sunny as mine - could get used to this and going on the forecast tomorrow and Tuesday are to be the same so WHOPEEEEEE! Shame I will be at work but never mind I have a window to look out of.
Seems like everyone is taking in the lovely fresh air as just been walking my two pooches and never seen as many folk. Lovely to see families out and dads playing footie with their kids and mums watching over the little ones on the swings and slide on the local football pitch.
Been busy today and out this am visiting friends - can't believe how quickly the time goes as their eldest was talking to me today about what she wants to do when she leaves school in two years time. Funny, but I can remember her being born and this time seemed so very far away. As her mum said 14 going on 30.
Cars are now both on 'smart charge' and we're both praying for fine weather next weekend as we have a show on Sunday. Hopefully there will be a good turnout as it's for a local hospice and there should be plenty of stalls and folk I hope!
Off to make some tea now but will be back on later - enjoy the rest of the early evening everyone.
And remember helps the world go round and a better place to be and live in.
Evening all. I went out for a walk today too. Went with my friend and we did about three and a half miles and her local area was having a community fun thing in the park so we stopped off on the way back. I was sooooo good and managed to not have any ice cream, cakes, sausages, fish and chips, chocolates or any other type of food they were trying to sell.
As it's Sunday, it's really difficult to resist all those cup cakes though - perhaps you can all help me out?
Am shattered, who needs exercise with a 3 year old to look after. Been looking after my grandson since 9.30 this morning. Been for a walk up the bridle path at the back of us this morning, then off to the shops, then off to the park, then home, followed by dancing. OMG where is my bed. Daughter gone into hospital today to be induced as baby really doesn't fancy entering this world, nothing much happening up to now though and already 12 days overdue.
Must go to bed soon, got to get him to playgroup tomorrow and dodge the massive rush hour queue caused by stupid council thinking what a really good idea it would be to resurface the pavements Why?? No one walks on them, in the meantime I run the risk of disappearing down some pothole on my bike one fine day as the roads rapidly disintegrate.
Hiya Sin, so still no baby then. I really thought you were going to be out doing 100 miles on your bike today. Maybe the pavements will be for you to cycle on if no-one walks on them - perhaps you could have a word with the council.
Tsk, really annoys me, when the roads are in such a mess and they're playing about with fancy kirb stones and doing the pavements when there's whacking great holes in the road at every turn. Causing total chaos on the roads in the meantime, I could have cycled back from work quicker last week. No, all this baby stuff has put paid to my cycling for a few days now typical. We wait all this time for some decent weather and now I can't go out on my bike. Still my poor daughter has been stuck in hospital since 10 this morning and now they're threatening her with a drip to start her off, she was hoping for a birthing pool (god knows why, I wouldn't fancy that but any way) but if things don't start happening soon she won't be able to do that.
Good luck to you all, get to bed early cos you'll probably get a call in the middle of the night and that'll be that!
Sleep well and speak again soon.
Just to say night everyone - all the fresh air today has made me a sleepyhead. Would say off up the apple and pears but as Ilive in a bungalow would be a bit difficult so to do!
Keep everyone makes the world a nicer place.
Sweet dreams all and a good nights rest all ready to face the day tomorrow.
You're brave EmJay, bet you're worn out. We've had a fun day really, my grandson loved his walk and his tea was apparently amazing and delicious (fishfingers, waffle and beans)
