My guy's has been having a lot of problems with bowels and bladder, but still loves his food .He started with heartburn and then he was throwing up and this start at 11:30 pm on Friday night, after hours of doing this and him telling me it the chocolate ice cream he was throwing up I said that it and off to emergency. Me Thinking it's the start of aspiration pneumonia starting again. They have a tube intohis stomach and when I left to come home after 12 hour shift he has brought up 400mls from his stomach and was still going.I will go in the am,not happy because the dam doc did not come and tell me how bad the blockage is before he left, they were talking surgery.
I'm very tired so hope this makes sense, not proof reading.
That sounds very traumatic Dee, it's difficult when they can't express themselves and you don't know exactly what's going on. Ben takes Laxido every day and that has really helped with the constipation, although he only goes every few days it is of soft consistency and easy to pass. Before that it was such a struggle for him and I can see why blockages can become an issue. Hope they soon sort out his Problem and don't have to resort to surgery.
Neil is taking lactulose everyday and had two small bowel movements before we went to emergency for aspiration pneumonia. still scratching my head on this.it was like the pasty coffee ground up looking throw up, description i hope will help someone.

For some reason edit is not working, before taking Neil to emergency it was almost exactly like when aspiration pneumonia started
Dear Dee, one night more than a year before he died my guy had a weird bout of throwing up a black goo. I have never seen the like; it was scary. FWIW, he was okay by morning. I hope your husband's trouble resolves itself, but at least he is getting the medical attention he needs. I hope you are getting some rest. Hang on. Hugs. Ec
I get this Dee as my dad has a very similar situation in May 2016, an extremely stressful time! Psp makes you want to scream and never stop! Keeping my fingers crossed x
Not an easy time for you - maybe this is the worst? Do you have anyone who can look after hubby for a few days when he comes home so ypu can get away for a break? Its extra maddening when you have to deal with a less than helpful medical system...
Same thing happened to my daughter but the doctor didn’t put intube immediately in her stomach to help empty it, which caused her to have pneumonia and ARDS.
Hi, Dee. Just wondering today how your husband and you are doing. Thinking of you. Love and Peace, ec
