Nerve damage or nerve pain (also known as neuropathy) is often caused by a deficiency of specific vitamins. When you can't get enough of these vitamins from the foods you eat, you need to supplement your diet.
There are two vitamins which are absolutely vital to nerve health but that up until recently have not been easily available in a form that can be more readily absorbed and used by the body.
These are Benfotiamine, a special form of Vitamin B1, and Methylcobalamin, a special form of vitamin B12.
I did buy the special form of vitamin B12 several months ago and my wife has been taking it every day in conjunction with Co-enzyme Q10. Her condition has been incredibly stable since then if not improving slightly except for her vision that continues to deteriorate slowly.
I was wondering if I should not switch from the Methylcobalamin that she takes to the combination of the 2 as in this Nerve Support Product.
Has anyone any experience in this?
The only way to get an opinion on these products is to get commentsfrom as many people as possible. I believe there are no real negative secondary effects.
But may be it is just another way for some people to make money out of people in distress....
