I had Sacrocolpopexy surgery in November, 2024 and it seemed to work really well. The problem is, I have had stomach pain and cramping ever since. I originally thought it was a bowel issue because I was having constipation and my stomach felt gassy. We are four months out and I am still have this issue. It is not all the time but it is most of the time. I am bloated and when I go to the bathroom, either urinating or bowel movement, it hurts and almost feels like a pulling in my stomach. I hurts more around my belly button. Just wanting to know if anyone else has experienced this since Sacrocolpopexy surgery.

Sacrocolpopexy Surgery

Can you try eating an anti inflammatory diet? Drink kefir once a day.
You might benefit from curcumin pills. They help pain.
Hi could you please tell me what that surgery is. I feel terrible that you thought you were out of the woods and then you have to deal with this . That's probably the worst part of this kind of suffering we go through is that there are times we think we're better or at least close the better and then the hammer drops on us .
I've been suffering horrifically for 16 years for pain that stays 90% in my anus and rectal area and 10% right at the top of the crack of your butt with swelling and pain beyond belief when it goes up there. 16 years of suffering in 2013 they told me I needed to have coxaectomy even though they knew that it was going to be not only very painful but the recovery would be terrible risking serious even life threatening infection which it did. Ever since then the pain has remained and I've been to at least 50 doctors all over the United States of all kinds. Anything anyone reading this reply who has had this injury or this problem please let me know and thank you for posting your issue I didn't know if this operation you were talking about might have something to do with where my pain is or not so I took a shot as we all do since we live with this pain so long since none of the doctors have been trained to help us. I hope you feel better soon
I am so sorry that you have been suffering with pain this long. The surgery I had was for organ prolapse. They went in and, with mess, they pulled up my bladder, my vagina and my rectum and attached it to my tail bone. I did read a reply from someone who said that they were told by there doctor to not get constipated and I have had constipation issues every since my surgery. I think I need to make an appointment with my urogynecologist and be re-examined. I wish you the very best. I know how frustrating it can be to go to doctor after doctor and they tell you nothing is wrong. When I was younger, I had chronic cystitis and every doctor I went to said that there was nothing wrong and I tested negative for a uti. Someone told me to find the meanest person I knew and ask them who there doctor was. I did and went to their doctor and about 2 minutes into the appointment he said, you have cystitis. I had never even heard of cystitis. It changed my life.
