Tibolone HRT offered for pain relief of Pudendal Nueralgia alongside 3 injections of Zoladex into the abdominal wall?

Hi everyone, I had a gynecologist offer me Tibolone HRT tablets alongside 3 injections of Zoladex into the abdominal wall 4x weekly. Looking these medications up I've seen a ton of side effects like most meds. The gynaecologist agreed I had normal hormones and no gyno problems or endometriosis but being that the prf nerve ablation didn't work has offered me this as a treatment.

I am 47 pre menopause.

Has anyone with pudendal nueralgia had any experience of this treatment or medication? Seems a bit odd to me but my partner thinks I should give it a go!

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated

Jodie x

I had it for endometriosis and hated every second of it as it throws the body into full blown menopause so the symptoms hit you like a brick wall not like natural menopause or even like a hysterectomy. I have never heard of it for non endometriosis pain relief however I struggled with the menopause side effects even with hrt however I have since had a total hysterectomy with everything removed and I didn’t go through the nasty side effects that I had on the zoladex. How old are you if you don’t mind me asking?

HiI am 47 and pre menopausal. Did it reduce your pain levels at all aside from the nasty side effects?

Personally it didn’t for me but I know it does for some people but it’s used to stop the endometriosis spreading whilst waiting for surgery to remove it so it’s not used as a pain medication it just helps people with endometriosis not to have the monthly bleeds. Sorry I can’t be of more help xx
