Tibolone

Also the tibolone hasn't helped with some menopause symptoms.

I didn't have the discomfort before starting the Tibolone. It's also making me feel really flat. I'm trying to decide whether to stop the Tibolone. I don't know whether it'll settle. Should I still be on Decapeptyl injections if not taking Tibolone?

I've been on tibolone for 6 months but seems my flare ups gotten worse and my gyne specialist asked to try and reduce the dose of tibolone. It seems it's not doing much so the next step is to try norethisterone. But I've never heard of it.

I have been prescribed Tibolone HRT but have been reluctant to try it. Does anyone have any advice or thoughts of wisdom on how they got on with the menopausal symptoms? And if they found the add back HRT Tibolone helpful?

I’ve been diagnosed with fibroids and I had my first prostap injection at hospital and the bleeding stopped now I had my second prostap injection along with tibolone after a few days I started to bleed again and it’s getting heavier with blood clots again.

Lucky it was just once and then I started to take tibolone. However due to endo flare ups with my bowel my specialist asked that we try to reduce the tibolone to half a dose per day to see how I go. All seemed fine ish except I keep getting worse with my flare ups with bowel movements.

I took HRT - Tibolone 2.5 mg and a further dexa scan 18 months later showed a 7% increase in bone density. I was told this would continue to increase if I stayed on Tibolone.

Since I had my injection, I have been taking Tibolone daily. Has anyone had similar experiences?.Is Tibolone the best choice for HRT. When I had my injection in February and the gel and Utrogestan tablet. It was horrendous, but to be fair I did not give it a chance, as inly had one injection.

I’m very lucky to have a supportive GP who is really interested in helping women who suffers/suffered with endo (like myself), I had an appointment the other day and was talking about alternatives to Tibolone, I’ve been on it since Nov 2019 after my Oophorectomy.

I started on tibolone last Thursday started with a migraine weds pm and can't shake it off has anyone else been like this? I get oestrogen fed migraines when my period comes but since being on decapeptyl I haven't had them. Anyone similar? Thank you.

Do you use tibolone or combined hrt with gel and pill? Have you tried both ways and found a preference? Thank you in advance :)

Hi everyone... has anyone else had bleeding when on tripterelin monthly injections with daily tibolone add back? Had my first injection about 3 weeks ago after surgery, and this would have been around the time of my period - had very light bleeding yesterday and slightly heavier today.

I have had my 2nd Decapeptyl injection and take Tibolone as well as iron tablets (I’m also now severely anaemic due to losing so much blood) on a daily basis but things don’t seem to be letting up.

Will Tibolone trigger endo if I'm on injections? I've been off work for two weeks because of the symptoms. They're a bit more manageable so back to work on Monday! So grateful for this group x

I'm on Tibolone but I'm still in so much pain. Has anyone had experience of this and have they found sequential hrt better? I don't think the Tibolone is strong enough. The specialist has suggested I stop hrt but there is no way I can, as the menopausal symptoms were brutal.

I do take Calci-D and Tibolone. GP said that should look after my bones. I swim loads and do the odd stretch or yoga/pilates class. Any advice to make the most of my appointment with Rheumy?

I'm also on tibolone (add back synthetic HRT).

They've given me Tibolone but I daren't take it until the UTI/ irritation is better. Part of me wants to stop the injections and have hefty pain killers instead x Any advice would be great fully received

I've taken Tibolone since January which initially seemed ok but since October I feel like my symptoms are worse. My sleep is impacted because of night sweats, hot flushes are frequent throughout the day, excema has developed on skin around my eyes, my scalp is flaky, zero libido etc. etc.

She took me off of Estrogel and started me on Tibolone. This worked slightly but I still had anxiety, skin rashes and generally not feeling great. In September I saw a menopause specialist who switched me to Lenzetto and Progesterone.
