Pelvic and Rectal Pain after Laproscopy

I had Laproscopy 12 days ago. My Dr said he couldn’t find anything except I had adhesion on my left tube and there was a scar outside my uterus that he has removed.

I had pain for last 10 days and from yesterday I have lots lots of pain in my Overies , Pelvic and Rectal area. The pain goes to my lower back and it goes to my legs. And today I feel I can’t stand the pain 😢

Has anyone experienced this at all ? Is it Normal?

Thanks 🙏

Hi ParPar,

I’m sorry to hear you are suffering. I’ve had 4 laps for endometriosis and adenomyosis and after each it’s taken me a month to feel slightly better and 6-8 weeks before the pain has gone back to normal levels again. During a lap they move around your pelvic organs checking to see if there is anything that could be causing your pain. It is great news that no endometriosis was found and sometimes scar tissue can form if you have had a previous pelvic infection but in others there is no obvious cause. The pain you are experiencing is entirely normal and the best thing is to rest and walk around from time to time which can help dispel any remaining gas whilst also reducing the risk of blood clots. Doctors/surgeons now prefer their patients to get up as soon as possible after surgery as it has so many health benefits including reducing fatigue. I hope this helps

Thanks a lot . It helps a lot . I was so worried about it and I took codein and Ibuprofen which didn’t help . I will wait 2 more weeks to see if pain goes away

I have period pain and also when my bowels are opening I get more pain in both areas, but isn't what you've described that period thing?sorry I said thing but I can't remember name of it lol,a Dr was persistent I had it it,I told I don't,what your describing is different I said,it was similar to yourself as in,I had leg pain thigh and hip and backache ,period cramps of the chart at times but other pain when not on them so turns out,I have, osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, dercums disease,I was having spasms and never knew that's what the tightness was and hot inflamed feeling in only certain areas, point is,i was told fibro first,I went back while later told them there's three types of pain over and over for years ,they sent me for scan of hips !,osteoarthritis. Also slipped discs at times to.don't allow your pain and health issues to go on ask for second opinion, I had did that telling them my husbands dead that means I'm it for my kids,no one else has ever been there for them I'm it,I've had enough of this over twenty years of pain and still no real diagnosis its a disgrace they bucked up and got it sorted over last three years, and see every single Dr that told me I had no pain in each fatty tissue lump ?yeah well, they weren't just fatty tissue lumps they were dercums disease which you feel pain the lumps and around so every single Dr was wrong, you have to keep on and on.you'll get there.what other medical issues have you had in past?cause they can be related, backache, slipped discs ,lumps were all dercums happening in my body.the body is an amazing complex thing isn't it.I had keyhole surgery years ago they told me get camera in bowels ask your gp to refer you,my doctor refused saying they're not connected now I'm going soon for bowel camera because pain I'm getting I thinks connected to my lumps from dercums they lumps I think are in bit of bowel near womb hence period pain!had they sent me 19yr ago then ..,
