Pelvic inflammatory disease

Hi I'm in my 30's and I am on my second dose of what they think is PID. I am still awaiting a scan and 2 days after Christmas then pain started in my left side. I am on my 2nd lot of antibiotics but the doctors font seem to see the the need to push for a quicker scan I got made to feel like a hypercondriac. I understand our wonderful NHS are overwhelmed but I feel I would of been seen quicker for back pain. Just to say this is a follow up scan I requested to see the damage PID had done and if any treatment plan was needed. Yet here I am unable to look after myself or my family properly due to it coming back. My PID is has not been caused by an STD but they aren't sure what's caused it. I just feel like sobbing not just because of the unbearable pain I've had but knowing that once I have recovered from this I could have to through this again, which I'm happy to do if a confirmed diagnosis and treatment plan is in place to resolve this.

it could be chronic pelvic pain. This is the term the doctors give it when they really can’t pinpoint which nerves are involved. If you have discomfort sitting or laying down, it could be chronic pelvic pain. I have had mine for 12 years and endured many treatments which have been unsuccessful. I am currently on 150 mg of pregabalin twice a day, duloxetine 60 mg to help with pain. If you have spasms when laying down request Robaxin 500 mg. I also take tramadol 50 along with a couple of Tylenol to help with pain of course you may not need these meds but I have had many scans and nothing really shows. Most doctors are really not knowledgeable about chronic pelvic pain. Hope you feel better soon Rocky 68.
