long periods but no pain?

Since January 2022, I've noticed my periods have been going on for 2-3 Weeks, and I only have 1 week break. I have no pain and my flow isn't that heavy. My doctor has sent out for a scan for the second time, My iron levels was 14, and been taking iron tablets and feel better and no clotting since. Has anyone had this problem before long periods and no pain?

Hi Lauren,

Have you had any blood tests to look at your thyroid? Thyroid problems can have a negative effect on periods including length. I hope this helps

I am currently on a two week period which started of light then turned into heavy for the past week with clotting , but no pain. Just a predictable and having to change pads 3-4 times A day! Got fed up and went for a private scan which revealed fibroids on the outer wall. But also waiting on blood tested to check for thyroid. Hoping to get to the bottom of it as very unusual compared to my 5 day periods.
