Hope you’re all well. I was diagnosed with a 2cm fibroid after numerous visits to the dr they finally sent me for a ultrasound and diagnosed with a fibroid. I have bleeding between periods it’s like having 2 periods like few days after I finish I start bleeding again. Does anyone else have bleeding? What treatment do you recommend or what has worked for you?

Fibroid symptoms?
Hi, l too have two fibroids one which l believe is also 2cm in size but was informed by the doctor it wasn't large enough to cause the symptoms that l was having. I was told that l was peri menopausal and just to go away and monitor it. I was informed that they would shrink when l go through the menopause. I went to the doctors because l had a brown discharge that was continuous for a month. Things have improved for me but this was last year and l am 51 years old.
Thanks for the reply. I think everyone is different and the symptoms depends on what type of fibroid it is and where it’s located. I’m only 28 and would like to have kids in the future and they don’t recommend surgery just monitor and the Dr said the same it will go when I have menopause’/ I’ve been recommended the combined pill but I will try natural remedies first - hope you’re well x
I was bleeding very heavily was offered the merena coil which I researched didn’t fancy it and was not in a position to have a hysterectomy but bleeding got so bad a decided to have it put in 2 years ago only spot now and then now best thing I ever done everybody’s body is different don’t go by other peoples story’s about the coil it has worked for me good luck
Hi
Sorry you’re going through this. I have several fibroids and the bleeding got so bad they gave me tranexamic acid. It helps for the days when I can’t stay home. There are days when I bleed through period pants even. The amount of protection I have to use is ridiculous and I feel like I’m wearing a nappy.
Last time I had ultrasound the radiologist said I should ask for an endometrial ablation. I’m 51 and the doctors keep telling me they’ll shrink after menopause but I’m determined to get rid of them before then. I have gynae appointment in January (bless the NHS) and am telling myself my needs are important enough to fight for the treatment. In the meantime I’ll take the tranexamic acid for the really heavy days.
Sorry this rant became about me and not you! I hope you can get some help. It’s very hard to get taken seriously but the effects of fibroids can be so debilitating. I really hope people will take your needs seriously.
I would mention this to your doctor. I’m sure it isn’t but they would be able to rule out the possibility of something more concerning (endometrial cancer).
I once had spotting in between my periods and my doctor said if this happened again to come straight back and to go for tests.
I’m so pleased to hear that.
I have a fibroid and when I had the spotting my doctor said to me if it happens again come straight back to me and that she’d arrange for me to go for tests as she wanted to rule out the possibility of it being endometrial cancer.
In my opinion I think there is limited information regarding fibroids, what they may cause and what options there are and what are the possible side effects of any treatment. This forum is fantastic as we can talk honestly about the advice we are receiving.
Hi there I’ve read that matcha tea also vitamin d can shrink fibroids I’m trying that now x
