What should I expect? prolapsed Uterus.

I have problems with pessary ring. Since having 2 rings fitting 1 week apart in early March this year I have been in discomfort sitting down. The ring has improved things. No backache. A little feeling of things coming out.

Saw new consultant on 10/7 as I was referred for surgery without being told, who removed ring and said I had build up of discharge and she would leave it out. [Awaiting confirmation of new appointment for 19/8/20] I should expect bleeding. Few spots so far or discharge. I am waiting for prescription from GP for Estrogen? pessaries to help healing? Consultant has emailed her contact details and services for private consultation. I am very sore at present and tied.

I received no advice and was so shocked at what happened at my last consultation I do need reassurance.

Hopefully once the prescription is with me I will feel better. Not sure what I am able to do regards day to day as no advice on the website.

I feel so sorry for you. That is dreadful treatment not helped by current delays due to COVID. I’ve been waiting to have a foot problem dealt with but a prolapse is much worse. See my answer to someone yesterday - just below here -“prolapse after two years”. Once the discharge has cleared up a sponge might help keep things in place and it comes out easily every night so no problems with discharge.
