Pain, muscle or ovary ?

Hi I recently had been in emergency for very low left abdominal pain around the ovary. I was treated for the pain and was given an ultrasound. The ultrasound came back as small cysts ( which I already had most of my life) but I also had fluid around that area. I’m not sure what this means i got told to take painkillers at home if the pain changes or I start vomiting go straight back to the hospital. it’s been 7 days I still have the pain and seem to because of the sudden pain. It seems to increase when I tense any of my stomach muscles resulting in me falling. Anybody have any idea what is going on or how I can manage the pain? I do gymnastics and haven’t been able to join in for two weeks which is really affecting my mental health 😔

It might be pelvic inflammatory disease...I have it and it causes pain in your ovaries.

Hey, may i know what cause your PID?

Mine is caused by when I had unprotected sex on my period. Doing that can increase the chance of bacteria going through your cervix and reaching other organs. Just something to think about and ask your doctor

How long have you had it?

A couple months. I took antibiotics for a while and it went away, but then as soon as I stop the pills, it came back. I’m going to be on doxycycline for a while.
