Help! bleeding on and off after having my period.

I have always had irregular cycles even when I was younger. When I was 21 I had my son but my cycle would not regulate and I have gone 2 years without a period. Four weeks ago I started bleeding but after my week long cycle I started bleeding again after 3 days. Not heavy bleeding mostly brown with some blood here and there. This lasted for almost a week and than stopped again. Now last night I started seeing blood again with pain on my left side...I've always been a big scardy cat and tend to think the worse. I will be going to the hospital later today in hopes of finding some answers but I'm completely scared.

This needs investigating urgently. Any irregular bleeding like this needs to be seen to. Good Luck when you go to the hospital.
