I am taking Vegifem for vaginal dryness but i am experiencing extreme pain in the pelvic region. Is this normal ? I am post menopausal and went for a routine smear test to be told I had Vaginal Atrophy.

Vegifem and Pelvic Pain
Its interesting how we all have the same things, I think its the Vagifem that's making me so sore. I was wrongly diagnosed with vaginal atrophy, now they say its my bladder retaining too much urine!! whats next I don't know but the pain is exhausting.
Estrace cream and Luvena moisturizer seem to be helping a bit with the dryness and vaginal atrophy that had been diagnosed several months ago. I too have extreme pain in the pelvic region and was diagnosed last week with Interstitial Cystitis and Pelvic Floor Dysfunction. Pain in the pelvis seems to be elusive and difficult for doctors to pinpoint. I began asking about the pain 4 years ago and it was blamed on gall bladder, Crohns disease, adhesions, and pelvic floor prolapse. All those things were a problem and were treated and there was some relief, but now for the extreme pelvic pain. I had surgery for gallbladder, adhesions, and pelvic prolapse during these years but never got relief from the pelvic pain. I hope all goes well with you and that you find answers SOON..
I also developed pelvic pain whilst using HRT products for suspected vaginal atrophy. Have since seen a Gynaecologist who said there was no atrophy present. Don't know what is causing pain. I am undergoing tests (waiting for a sigmoidoscopy), think I may have pudendal neuralgia but it's difficult to diagnose.
