Hi everyone I need to ask an opinion. I know none of us are medically qualified but...I have a cold, I have headache and a sometimes runny nose. I don't have a sore throat or a dry cough but I do have some upper chest irritation. I hope this is just a cold. My friend and colleague who ran a training course which I attended, has had this same cold. She insists it's a simple cold.
What are the chances this is not Corona virus and what if it is. I am so hoping its just a cold. Suggestions welcome especially about what you would do in my position.
Thanks everyone xx

Sounds like a cold but maybe self isolate for 7 days as advised. My daughter has had runny nose and cough, we aren't that worried, but it is always a what if. Xx
The PBC Foundation has just produced a short video, it can be found on their web site or app. As you are in the UK you could phone them but to me it sounds more like a cold. Honey and lemon in warm (boiled first) water for vitamin c. Drink plenty of water to flush toxins. Check the NHS symptom checker on line and self isolate, stay in an even temperature if you can. If symptoms become worse then phone the NHS 111.
Hi Alley
I agree with others it could be just a cold but recommend self isolatation just incase!
It looks like my son has the virus along with 8 of his staff who all have coughs
and temperature's but seem to be coping ok as there fairly young.
Please take care and try not to worry as it's the time of the year for general colds too !,
Didn’t sound like the symptoms that are being told to us repeatedly by the media, worrying times I know but your symptoms sound like a cold as they state dry constant cough as one of the symptoms of Corona not heard a headache mentioned either. If you have a thermometer check your temperature if you’re really worried call the foundation, some good advice on here as always drink lots and take vitamin C paracetamol. As soon as we feel unwell we naturally think it’s the dreaded virus. Take care
Unless you develop other symptoms or your existing symptoms worsen, stay in place. You might use warm salt water gargle. Drink lots liquid:,Water is always the most hydrating. Best.
I have the same thing. Some mild congestion and a headache for the past 8 days. It's not geting worse, no fever, no cough, so I think it's allergies. Everythinng is budding now. Keep taking your temperature, if its a cold or allergy you wont get a fever of 100 F or over.
