Hello. I was diagnosed in August, I was just wondering if anyone can tell me if we are supposed to keep warm as my house is so cold with heating on it ranges from 8 degrees to 11 degrees. My bones are starting to ache and my fingers hurt. I'm just worried it's bad for me. It's that cold we can see our own breath.
Being cold: Hello. I was diagnosed in August... - PBC Foundation
Being cold
In general whether you have pbc or not, you should be in an environment where you are comfortable.
I'm definitely not comfortable lol. It's such an old house with no cavity in walls and a 27 year old boiler, the housing association said they won't put new boiler In unless the old ones unrepairable x
Can't you turn up the heat? How about just buying a space heater for the room you are in the most? I feel for you. I like it warm & toasty.
It is only 34 F here today. Very cold.
I've read that feeling the cold is a side-effect of PBC (although your house does sound extremely cold). I really feel the cold, too. I bought a heated cape

and a heated throw

both of which have made my life much more comfortable. There are cheaper models of these which you could try, too.
Thank you I'll put them on my Christmas list x
